Hello again, so I called again today, and surprisingly I got more insight than yesterday call, so here is what I got today, they have told me since my application was stamped with received 21st of March and it was in status at the time and because of the missing fees it was sent back, now they will process it in 4 months but the catch is that either they will take the restoration fees from my PR fees and continue the application or they will request the fees by email and not return my OWP but wait for the fees, now she also advised me to resent the application with the fees of restoration and the work permit application attached to the same office and attach a letter explaining that I forgot to pay the restoration fees, please take this application instead of the first one and proceed. That's what she told me.
Just to add my insight, and in case your earlier question didn't get answered, I am pretty positive that restoration is its own separate $200. Also, I was instructed by agents from months ago that I could apply for restoration at the same time, on the same form, as my work permit, which I've done. I don't know how that would affect processing times for you, but hopefully it might simplify things.

Yes, it's a separate 200$ and it is the same form, I think it won't change the time frame in my case, anyway I will have to wait the 4 months period but it will simplify things when they start to work on my work permit and see that I paid and attached restoration in the form.

Anyone know what happens after you completed your medical exam? Does the cic site get updated automatically letting you know if you have passed it or not?

Hello, it was updated after a couple of days on CIC website as "Passed" now this depends on the medical clinic that have done this for you, because some of them have something called e-medical which is a system that is connected with CIC database as they explained to me, and other clinics will send your results by normal mail, which takes more time.

Hello, so now I opened my OWP form as she instructed but I can't see the box with "restoration of status" to be checked, do you remember how did you do it ? I only see restoration of status as a worker, but this is my first time I am applying for OWP, this shouldn't be it right?

Thanks, we did the e-medical option so will wait a few days to see if updates automatically. Thanks

Yes, this is the option the agent told me to check. I originally saw that the same way you did, but the agent informed me that can be used since technically we do want status restored, but as a worker this time. I can imagine it would make less sense for them to go through the hassle of restoring our status as a visitor, just so then they can convert it to a worker when we can just skip the middle man and accomplish the same thing.

Thanks, it was confusing to me, I will reprint it tomorrow and submit the application again, one more question.. when I first submitted my OWP I sent the supporting documents with the application when they returned it, the supporting documents were missing, that means they kept the passport copies etc.. at their office and I don't need to provide it again right?

I wouldn't take that bet. I would provide them again if I were you just to be safe. They don't hold your spot in line if they sent your application back, so they would have no reason to save a few parts of your application. I would guess it was a mistake on their part. Definitely include everything again.

Hey guys.. I submitted my wife's applications along with the OWP on March 25th and we got the AOR on May 09th but after the AOR there are no more updates. There are no updates on the OWP side as well. We had called CIC and they said OWP takes 4 months to get approved and wait till July 18th. We had called them thrice and that was the same answer all the time. We are not even able to link in the GCKey for the OWP.

We are kind of worried now. Just wondering if there is anyone in the same boat like us? or is it just our application that is getting delayed. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hi,

Is it true that once you apply as an inland application, you cannot leave Canada until your application is finalized ?

My wife is visiting me from the USA and intends to travel to USA to see her family. She is already been here for 4+ months. I was planning to put in an application for her next week but I heard that once you submit and inland application, you cannot leave Canada.

If that is true, I might have to apply for her as an outland.

Kindly advise which stream would be better for our case, outland or inland (I was hoping she would get medical insurance while inland)

Thanks

You are able to leave the country as long as when you enter, you are legally allowed to do so. I'm assuming your wife will be on a visitor's visa?
I left Canada to go to the US a few weeks ago to reinstate my visitors status in Canada for another 6 months while my app is in process. Should be fine.

Hi everyone,
I have a quick question. I will be getting married in Nov this year. I am PR and My Fiancee has a visitor visa of Canada. After getting married, I am planning to bring her here with me and then planning to apply for In-land PR.

Now, Is it okay to book one-way ticket for her as we will be applying for In land PR and after applying she doesn't have any plan to go back ?
I have heard Airlines from India won't allow you to board in flight if you have don't have return ticket.

Should I go with one way ticket or two-way ticket? And obviously yes, If I will book two-way ticket, I will buy refundable one and will cancel the return ticket later on.

I would like to know your views/ some one who had kind of similar situation like me.

And one more question, Does immigration at the border put some kind of stamp in passport such as you have to leave the country by so and so date(For e.g. date of return ticket) or she can stay for straight 6 months?

Thanks

I would buy return ticket if that's the case in India, also they don't stamp any date on the passport that you have to leave by that date. But they stamped the landed date in Canada

Hi Everyone,

Just wondering if someone is in the same situation and can help us with this one

I submit a web form to find out the status of our application as we sent it to Sydney office in March and tracked courier says it was received on March 25. But according to IRCC call centre representative advised inland application goes to Mississauga.

So, we got a reply of the web form and they are saying that they have received our outland family spousal sponsorship application but now we are confused why they are treating it as outland as we mentioned in the forms that spouse is living in Canada together and submitted it as an Inland application. Now we are worried they will send it back as the application might not have documents they would ask for an outland application. They have also mentioned that work permit application is not available in the system yet. Because of the mistake they have made it in the march checklist. Not sure what should I do now.
