Submitted Application on March 3, 2017 and have already done medical, PCC, and received the AOR and SA and just yesterday received saying that they are just processing my application now (March 27, 2018) so am I to assume that I have been waiting a full year without it even being started to process my application and have to possibly wait the 12 months processing times? is this normal for other people or did some how my application get put on the back burner? any insight would help

i applied on march 29th , no they didn't ask me for an interview, no updates , my medicals are expired , and there is nothing showing in my cic account. still application received , ..

Have you tried calling the Rabat office? I read a story where someones application was sent to Rabat and nothing happened for more than 7 months. They decided to call the Canadian embassy in Rabat and the Rabat office said that they were missing some documents and needed more proof of the relationship (which is strange as to why they didn't tell them this before). The documents and proof was sent and two weeks after the call, the applicant was told to pickup their visa, they didn't even need an interview. The story happened I think around 2010 but I wouldn't hurt to call them to see what is happening.

Any idea how long after Ottawa receives passport, that you receive COPR? Hoping everyone here, hears something positive very soon!

Just wanted to mention to anyone interested, my ECAS has changed to DM, but CIC GCKey has only changed medicals passed....I gather they are never up tp date with that page. I have received passport request, and with much to do with Canada Post and their "new envelopes" for Xpresspost....(watch out there, as they sent my letter back to me the next day which ended up being another week to rectify) letter was delivered to CIC Ottawa this morning. hoping the COPR return is swift. Good luck to everyone and WATCH OUT FOR THE NEW ENVELOPE...hoping no one else has issues....I would have had my passport there a week earlier if it wasn't for Canada Post and their mess up that took a week to get rectified and still waiting for a full refund x 2! $59.10!!! Good luck all!

Does anybody know how long on average I should be waiting now for DM and/or PPR, having received this email? Thanks a lot!

We got ppr next business day and dm came 5 days later

No one can say for sure what it is but hopefully its possible - remain patient

You can't reach the canadian ambassy in Rabat by phone . But i sent them an e mail 2 months ago and they said that my application is in progress. they received my file since AUGUST and still no updates ( i SENT them all the documents they needed, police certificate, pictures, conversations,... ) . My cic account is not updated at all , and it doesn't show any informations , it is the same since i applied on March 2017

Received e-mail last night around 9:30pm from CIC that my account had an update....checked GCkey and it finally changed to your application was approved. I sent out passport Tuesday....hoping COPR comes very soon! Good luck to everyone....what a ride!
