Hi all,

They sent an email to my wife requesting the "Certificate of No Criminal Record". Also saying it is not necessary to send it if we provided it already, which we did provide upfront with schedule A 5 months ago. We will get another one and send them just in case .

But we were wondering if that is a good sign? ... and if that means they have or are about to start the Background Check?

Nothing has changed yet on our ECAS or on her linked account status.

Hopefully you will hear some good news real soon! As background seems to be a last stage (if you look at the majority cases).

after medicals passed - nothing changed for us. Waiting for background to start. Some ppl say they never see it turns into process until after you get DM. So wait, wait and wait....

Congrats. Looks like Ottawa is taking some time after DM to send the PPR. Me and a bunch of other US applicants got DM about 4 weeks ago and still no PPR.

I have sponsored my Spouse who is working in Saudi Arabia, She is a Citizen of India however the file haven't got transferred to India Instead it got transferred to the London Visa office is this normal ?, Where we will be receiving our Passport request ? in Saudi Arabia or in India ?
anyone here in the same boat. We are planning to resign her Job in Saudi Arabia and if we exit once we won't be able to go back to that country again as the work contract ends when we go. Below is our timeline

App Sent -- Jan 30
App returned for additional documents March 19th
App Sent again -- March 20
App Received -- Mar 23
AOR -- Apr 18
SA approval -- Apr 21
ECAS "in progress" -- Sep 25
AOR2 -- did not receive. Only received PDF saying "transferred to London from Mississauga
BGC started -- ?
DM -- ?
PPR -- ?
CoPR -- ?
Landed -- ?

Yes that's very normal because Family Class Spousal Sponsorship from Saudi Arabia will be forwarded to LVO. That's my husband visa office and he's working in Saudi Arabia.

Thanks for the congrats and the sense of timing! My file was transferred from the Ottawa VO to Mississauga. Fingers crossed the PPR comes soon for all of us.
