Hi, I'm a newbie here. I'm a Canadian Citizen currently living in Philippines with my Filipino husband. We sent his application via DHL courier on March 7th, and hoping to receive it tomorrow. However, this comment here made me wonder if I also did a same mistake. Since I'm currently living here in Philippines, I put my Philippine address for my mailing address, and I put my Canadian address for my residential address. But I also informed CIC through answering one of the forms that I'm coming back in Canada on April 24th. Now, I wonder if they will also return my husband's application because of my plan to return to Canada on April 24th?

Hopefully, someone could help me to clarify this. Thanks in advance!

It shouldn't be a problem as long as you put the filipino address for your husband. The problem would be if you had put your canadian address as your husband's and not sign the "use of representative" form.

Hope this help - Good luck!

I also had my application signed for on the 7th, however I signed up for the SMS notification and I've yet to receive anything via text

Any of you guys signed up for that?

Hi,

Going to be applying within the next two weeks, waiting on police clearance then holding thumbs.

Did you have to submit your birth certificate too?

C
Hey dear I was wounding if we have to send the police clearance with the application? I'm getting my application together and in the check list is says don't submit it now wait after your application is received you will be requested to schedule a then police certificate. And the same with the medical examination . So there's no point of doing upfront right!

Great, they signed for it on the 7th, and it's been 3 full days and nothing...

Aors dont come for 18-30 days typically...

I was talking about the new SMS pilot program where when they receive your application in the mail room they are supposed to scan the code that you print out and you get text notice.
