4 month? holy!

as you know.. i love my wife so much and miss her.. i always feel bad to ask a help from the government. I am serving as another volunteer board in a different federal government. not CIC. I asked the supervisor of that federal gov department to write me a reference letter to support me as a reliable person and make sure my wife's visitor visa has a smooth sailing.. i am so exciting he said yes.

He also suggested me to put his boss's business card... his boss also knows me and he was the ex RCMP commissioner. i was stupid; since i am an active member of my community.. everyone there asked me.. why i didnt ask early.. they thought i would ask them long time ago.

hopefully my wife can get her visitor visa, while waiting for the PR. thx.

Has anyone else been told they had Sponsor Approval but not received it or had it updated in eCAS? Sponsor was approved on April 21st according to the Call Centre, my app was forwarded to Ottawa and is In Process but the sponsor side still shows in process, we never received an email or letter in the mail. :o

Its just weird. Wondering if anyone else is in the same boat.

Yes. I am March 10 applicant and I never received either.

I think visa officer's dog ate both ours SA letter.

are you visa exempt? if you are and the copy of the passport you submitted with your application suggests the passport is valid for more than 6 months and you have already changed your last name (or likely won't because you are male), then more thank likely you will be seeing you COPR in the mail (DM usually suggests it's been mailed). Keep an eye out for a brown envelop in regular mail. Visa exempt applicants do not need to submit physical passports, and Ottawa waives the request for many applicants based on the criteria suggested above. congrats on a speedy process!

Ya I am from Ireland which is a visa exempt country and my common law partner is sponsoring me, she is a Canadian citizen. I really didn't expect it so soon was preparing for December at best.

Also my link to the 2016 outland spreadsheet isn't working can anyone still access it?

well the COPR usually expires when your medical does, so you should have plenty of time to prepare for landing and not have to rush through it!

hello all,

I just found this on the CIC website. This link is to ask any questions regarding application case specific query.

https://secure.cic.gc.ca/enquiries-renseignements/canada-case-cas-eng.aspx?_ga=1.40434786.1121128372.1452470357

I have just submitted my question on the status of my application. Hopefully, i get a positive feedback.

So it's only been a day since I got SA and the PR office has started looking at my wife's file and asking for further documents!! Great news! but also bad. Now here's where it gets personal so I apologize for dragging all y'all into this. I have already responded, but would like some advice if anyone is able to provide any.

They are asking for her ex to sign an IMM 5604 Declaration - meaning he has to say he does not have any objections to their daughter to move here.
We have sent the divorce agreement with the application but I'm thinking they haven't had time to look at it, as it clearly states she has sole custody and she only has to notify him of their new address. Is this something the Canadian government can still request even though she has sole custody?
Her ex is not a good man - he is violent and abusive. There isn't any legal proof of that though so she would probably have to take him to court to have him sign if it's necessary. Anyone have any knowledge about this matter?

Thank you so very much!

Joot, if you're spouse is front the USA their application should be forwarded to Ottawa, not Los Angeles, unless there is some major issue like criminality.

First of all thank you Decoy for your time,
