Hey everyone, it looks like good progress is being made for my of you. Just wondering if anyone has noticed a pattern so far this year with American applications? I know Ottawa is moving at an average of 8-10 months, but just wondering if that range seems to be changing?

Like all of you, I just want this whole thing to be over and done with. The sooner the better.

Plus. .. I'm currently in Canada and I have a visa extention pending so I can stay another 6 months, but I miss my family and I want to go home and visit without having to worry about getting back in. If the PR is approved by Nov I can go home like I had planned to all along and not have to worry about being let back in.

Hello i new in the forum Nice to meet you all, i send my application on Feb 29 2015, received march 3 2015, i got SA on july 6 2015. it said my application has been forward to mexico visa office .

on ecas it says received application for permanent residence on March 3, 2015. is this AOR2??

can someone tell me what to expect next.
i was also ask to send medical examination, with my SA letter, should include police record and the payment for Permanent resident ? or wait until they ask for them?

thanks!

I think....I think a DM has just been made on our application :o ;D
I checked it a few days ago and it said the application was still being processed and I just checked it a few minutes ago and it says Decision Made and it says:
We started processing xxxxxx's application on July 13, 2015.
Medical results have been received.
A decision has been made on xxxxxx's application. The office will contact xxxxxx concerning this decision.

Seems awfully short between the processing and the decision....
I am shaking with excitement but am also slightly apprehensive.

GAHHHHH!

Our application was received on March 9th 2015. SA was on May 21st. Medical was done upfront and we sent in the FBI cert in May as that is when we (FINALLY) received it.
A bit of background: my husband is American and we met through a mutual friend who went through the same process with her partner except they were common-law and it took them roughly 26 months. In all honesty, I wasn't expecting a peep from CIC until early spring 2016 so right now I am totally feeling this crazed, mixed bag of emotions!

Geez, 26 months with an American spouse? I wasn't going to check online till maybe Sept. then the COPR came in the mail. I bet you won't have to wait much longer!! Congrats on your progress!

My husband and I's mutual friend (also American) was common law and it took her 26 months...unreal.
Looks like it took us a much shorter time than predicted.

Oh gosh! I am so giddy and excited!

wow grats to lilikoi and Aquakitty.

Crazy how you guys applied after me and are pretty much done, haha. I'm still waiting for IP. Are you guys currently in Canada? I've been in Canada since 2011, but I applied common-law so maybe that's why I don't have IP yet.

Then again CPC-Ottawa has been doing some weird stuff lately; just hoping I get CoPR before my Work Visa expires next year.

I know that the recent flow of applications is totally outside the norm, but I get unnecessarily worried over the process

No, the AOR 2 is the email you are going to receive from Mexico, where they will tell you that they have received your application. I got SA in may and still waiting :( as well as all of the 2015 applicants for México VO.

thanks Luna21 it looks like Mexico VO takes a long time, hopefully they process our applications this month :) by the way do you now at what point they tell you if you will have an interview?

Ya we've been married 2 years and he's lived with me in Canada since 2006, but I don't know if that has a lot to do with it, there is another member on here with similar application as ours (similar finances, ages, time in Canada) but he took something like 19 months to get his! I think it might be luck of the draw, I really can't say.
