It's possible they can say no without an interview, but it's very rare and only if it's extremely clear that your spouse is inadmissible.

For example, if your spouse has a criminal record with a history of violence or sexual assault, if his medical results came back positive for something serious, etc. Do you know if there are ANY potential problems at all on your spouse's side?

I'm the one being sponored...so I know I'm healthy with a clean record...and my husband is healthy and he has a clean record..the only thing he has on his record are parking tickets but he has paid those...so I'm hoping its a yes...

Yes I submitted a passport copy with the application..but there was no passport request like other people...my husband and I were so excited and happy but now we are worried and anxious...it only says decision made...so he's worried it could be a no...I keep thinking if it was a no they would have asked us some questions about there suspicions first or called us in for an interview first..would they just say no without an interview? :-(

it's going to be a favorable decision. Ottawa isn't going to say no without giving you the chance to provide more info or have an interview. They also seem to be approving some people without requesting the copy of the passport. not sure what criteria needs to be met for that. If there was a medical issue, you'd know from the very beginning because more likely than not more tests would have been ordered. relax... you'll be a PR in no time! to get a good idea how long it typically takes to get your COPR after decision made, check out the Ottawa spreadsheet. I *think* it's 1-3 weeks for RECENT applicants.

will someone update the spreadsheet? My ecas changed to IN PROCESS today, 7/19!!! CIC started processing the app on 7/15, the day i got my passport & RPRF requests.

Aminata and RHCohen - usually Ottawa has been processing applications after requesting documents in two or three weeks. Based on the current trend they are not waiting until the bring forward date. I would say that if you just got a doc request and (for rhcohen) just sent in, you should, if the trend remains the same and your case is normal, get your COPR within a month.

That will be super awesome if it is so.

Lol thanks! We are trying to think positive...

Can someone update me on the march spreadsheet?

Hi.

Please see updated spreadsheet for all. Took awhile as we admins have been occupied lately. Please advise if any errors. Tried my hardest to give each an idea what stage we are at currently (hence the colourful changes).

I figure three hours of me doing this will take the burden off our new "mom". :P

And to add, if anyone is not on spreadsheet (i saw two posters missing) just let me know if you want to be included. ;)

And a few requests for you all.
1. For those lucky few who have passport stamped already, please advise of your landing, so we can insert the most wonderful colour of all....Yellow!

2. For those who are near the end, and are already in Canada on other permits, your line will change to yellow when you receive pr visa. As for the landing date, we will just write "already in canada".

3. Any feedback is welcome... Positive or not. ::)

Hey all! Before i was telling you about my friend, who also applied in march and her application was lost. So.. she just got it back - they sent it back because of missing document IMM 5285. I did one silly thing before - didnt keep all copies of documents so now im not sure if i sent it in my own application or not ( i recall some questions but i think from different form) . But looking at the guide http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/fc.asp ... there is no such an document required.. What do you think??

If it's not listed in your guideline, I'm guessing you don't need it? I don't remember filling out that form, and I was never asked for it! Which country is your friend applying from?
