I received my GCMS notes. 26 pages of stuff I mostly didn't understand. What I got out of it was I passed my medical, don't need a counterfoil, copied my passport, and all my background checks are in progress.
It says that when the information is put into the system. i believe if the visa office actually has it, it will also say "medical results received". ECAS is not a very reliable source in determining what stage you are in. It's really not worth checking on a regular basis. Also, i believe singapore sends out AOR2, so you will know when they receive the file. Double check in the visa office thread to know for sure.Koifish76 said:Okay, so ECAS which I typed my wife's name, and our file number, and when I click on application received, it states one thing:
We received your application for permanent residence on May 14, 2014. Uh?
Is this just the sponsor part in Mississauga? Or is this Singapore? I mean it shows her address, and there is a blank space under her name.
We have received no other emails. Nothing about meds received. And her inbox shows no emails yet. So, it looks like my AOR date (so to speak) was May 14.???
Yep, you are right. You are becoming one of the seniors on here already!!!!rhcohen2014 said:It says that when the information is put into the system. i believe if the visa office actually has it, it will also say "medical results received". We're going to apply tomorrow. We've put together a great package, very comprehensive, but we're not completely over the moon about it, we do expect it to be refused just because she's married to a Canadian and she's from a high overstay risk country.Koifish76 said:;D thanks.
How is the TRV coming along for you? We will also apply. Tricky for us though as my wife is now pregnant 8)
Hahaha... Its actually the size of a lime right now hehe. I would think if anyone will put together the best application, it is you guys. Wish you both all the luck!!mikeymyke said:We're going to apply tomorrow. Congrats on the pregnancy, a little baby koi fish
Looks like you have done your research and you are well equipped to deal with your case. However, I still think your first step is to return to Canada since you cannot get the media, MP, or anyone else to help you while you are in Syria. Besides, why would you choose to remain at a warzone? Isn't your LIFE is the most important thing to you? I'm sure your husband wants you to be safe and far away from that warzone. I hope you will get out of there as soon as possible.angryrectangle said:Also, despite what the MP said, Canada has actually publicly announced they would expedite the files:
http://news.gc.ca/web/article-en.do?nid=754739
but apparently all the Syrian files from my riding are "under normal processing times".
I'm Muslim, so do not take what I'm about to say the wrong way. We consistently see on CNN American, Canadian, and U.K citizens but originally from the middle-east (or their parents are from the middle-east) have ended up joining Jihadist groups operating in Syria and Iraq. Here is an example http://www.cbc.ca/news/world/faouzi-ayoub-lebanese-canadian-terror-suspect-reportedly-killed-in-syria-1.2655194 So, in that part of the world, even a Canadian citizen can be denied entry into the embassy for security concerns.angryrectangle said:After telling them I was a Canadian citizen who'd just come from Syria, I was still denied access. I was not allowed to enter my own embassy.
yeah that's good news . Did you submit a copy if your passport? That was so fastovasquez1 said:OMG...so my husband and I checked the cic site last night, under sponsorship application status it read decision made..under permanent resident application status it read application received. I just woke up a few minutes ago, and I decided to check CIC. It says decision made under permanent resident application status. OMG. I called my husband and we both freaked out. Is this a good thing though? We turned in a full package, very neatly organized with all the documents, they never went through "in processing" on the cic site. They never asked for an interview or question or additional paperwork. Can we happy and assume its great news????
when i click on decision made it reads
Permanent Residence
We received XXXXXX XXXXXXXXX XXXXXXX's application for permanent residence on March 28, 2014.
We started processing XXXXXX XXXXXXXXX XXXXXXX's application on July 14, 2014.
Medical results have been received.
A decision has been made on XXXXXX XXXXXXXXX XXXXXXX's application. The office will contact XXXXXX XXXXXXXXX XXXXXXX concerning this decision.
But it never read "in processing" on the site. Is it ok for us to be happy, can we consider this good news?
Yes I submitted a passport copy with the application..but there was no passport request like other people...my husband and I were so excited and happy but now we are worried and anxious...it only says decision made...so he's worried it could be a no...I keep thinking if it was a no they would have asked us some questions about there suspicions first or called us in for an interview first..would they just say no without an interview? :-(Obronibini said:yeah that's good news .
