I got my permanent resident card in the mail today. Seems like things are picking up with CIC. Has anybody else gotten theirs yet? Also, when I landed the CBSA officer stapled my COPR inside my passport, should I leave it in there?

I was able to land at the Coutts border crossing in southern Alberta yesterday. They are apparently open until 11pm, so it gave me enough time for the long drive down there. So, as of yesterday I'm landed!

I am freaking out a bit, I checked ECAS today and had switched to decision made as of 18/07/14! If someone could please add that into the spreadsheet please. I'm assuming I was approved for permanent residency, should I call CIC just to be sure ? Thanks. :)

I received my GCMS notes. 26 pages of stuff I mostly didn't understand. What I got out of it was I passed my medical, don't need a counterfoil, copied my passport, and all my background checks are in progress.

Congrats, it seems like Ottawa is moving fast and quite a few of us have heard something from them pertaining to our passports! :)

Hi Sameer, I'm not sure about the letter regarding further verification, but I know that my sponsor approval took much longer as they had to verify that I was not on welfare with the province. Despite the turnaround time with the province being 1-2 business days, CIC still took almost a month...

From my understanding if they call you in for an interview, they can request additional documentation from you. After you get your UCI you can always mail extra documents and have them added to your file. :)

We had a bit of a delay on our SA, the file was received 03/05/14.

So we called CIC today, and found out that our SA was approved three days ago! It's a relief to know that the first stage is done and now we just have to wait on Ottawa:) Can someone please update the spreadsheet for us? We got our SA on the 22nd.

We had submitted a copy of my 2012 option C printout, as my 2013 taxes hadn't been filed yet. It showed that I had pretty low income, as I'm a full-time student and only work full-time during the summer. I also included copies of my last few paystubs, showing I earn about $2200/month, after CPP...

Honestly, we're okay with waiting for immigration to process. We had resigned ourselves to it taking quite a while, but we hadn't expected our sponsor approval to be the stumbling point. What's really frustrating is we just want it to get transferred so we can settle in for a long wait.
