Hey all, should have joined this thread weeks ago. I currently live in Northern China with my wife and our 21 month old daughter. We sent out our forms mid March and the forms were received March 19th, however we have yet to receive any emails from the CIC. I was just wondering what the average wait was among you guys?

Cheers for any info or help

YES! AOR received today!
Small things make me happy right now. :D

Hi LiamNorwich, welcome to the thread! It's 28 days before you can get an AOR but it can be significantly less or a few days short of the 28 days. A few people on here received their AOR in 4 to 8 days. Mine took 26 days.

Awesome news MrJB!!! One step closer! : )

Thanks for the info, was getting a bit antsy but reading through the thread i saw a spreadsheet with dates of applications sent and went they were received, plus how many people are still waiting for their AOR. Just gives a bit of peace of mind knowing I'm not the only one still waiting .

Welcome to the thread LiamNorwich. Would you like me to add you to the spreadsheet? If so, give me all of your dates including when your Medicals were done and the city your application will be going to (I assume that is Beijing).

O_guy, ya please add me to the spreadsheet. You're correct i'll be going through the Beijing office. Medical was done on the 6th of March, package was mailed to Mississauga on the 12th of March. Received by the CIC on the 19th of March.

Okay, I added you to the spreadsheet. You are on Row #37. Let me know if I got anything wrong.

Do you intent to move to Quebec? If you are not moving to Quebec, there are some columns that I can put N/A (Non-Applicable).

Hi,Im from Hong Kong

My husband sent the application to missisauga in early March and cic got it on Mar 11(which we just tracked it from the post tracking),he finally got a letter from cic today yay!It was with the topic "Subject: Citizenship and Immigration Canada - CPCM - Communication to client / Citoyenneté et Immigration Canada - CTDM - Communication auprès de la clientèle"

it was like

You have met the requirements for eligibility as a sponsor. Accordingly, the Application for Permanent

Residence for your relative(s) has been forwarded to a visa office abroad for further processing.

but i have a question,I couldnt check my application status online, never,Should I input my husband's information or mine?I couldn't check it with the receipt IMM5401,never!!And now i got the UCI number, still,I cannot check it,it just saying

I had tried using both of the imm1541 and the UCI number ,tried both under my husband's info and mine...Never can check

Does anyone got the same problem with me?

Also they asked me to send them the med check so I arranged to have the med check tmr,but it was a bit weird cos they didnt ask for the police cert..its like we need the letter mentioning cic needs my police cert so that i can apply here,no letter,no letters which states clearly a request for the police cert,no one will help me to do it here.

Good luck all!

And now i got the UCI number, still,I cannot check it,it just saying

Dear Heroine. The UCI needs to be entered in XXXX-XXXX format. Try it !!!!

Thanks AMJ!Im going to try it

Hey Heroine - if you just got the letter from Mississauga you might not be able to log in for a couple days. I was not able to for a week after my sponsorship was approved.

The UCI you got is for the Sponsor (the applicant has a separate one). So use that UCI with the Sponsor's information. It can be entered as XXXXXXXX or XXXX-XXXX. It works the first way for me.

Hey Zarilenth,

Does the applicant = sponsor?

we only got 1 letter from cic which was sent to my husband's email

I tried both of the receipt number and UCI number with xxxx-xxxx format, still doesnt work :(

No, the person being sponsored to Canada is the applicant. The Canadian is the sponsor, meaning your husband. So you have to use your husbands info, and the UCI number in the email that was sent. Also the receipt number won't work.
I would suggest waiting a couple days.
