Calgary_Man, are you still waiting? No reply from CIC? I wonder if we have the same slow officer. Maybe sick or absent on vacation. I have been calling as well and also emailed my MP. While I agree there is many things to disagree with regarding this whole process, the criteria they use in terms of length is fair IMO. But I don't think they evaluate this aspect as much during the sponsor part. Anyways, hopefully we hear good news this week. Good luck!Calgary_Man said:I disagree with this senseless fraud marriage criteria agarand8!

Well pictures of everything, of you two together. If your families have met your significant other and support your marriage then they can write letters. I sent pictures that proved we had a wedding and reception and honeymoon. I wrote a letter explaining why our age difference doesn't matter. Proof of any financial assistance, proof of communication for any time where you weren't together.Calgary_Man said:I disagree with this senseless fraud marriage criteria agarand8!

I think the 7 months is from transfer of file, ie SA date. After getting my AOR last week, I went to get my police cert today, even without the CIC letter, I managed to apply for that. Now that everything is in place, just have to sit and wait patiently.singsingsing said:i wonder... getting the AOR2 means they kicked off to work on the application? and how to count the the processing time? 7 mths starting from the AOR1? or AOR2? if it's for AOR2, that's mean it will be done on Jan 2015?
.. :-X
that's great! does it take your AOR2 as a supporting doc to proceed with the police cert? that's very good if they do and i will ask my hb to do so in advance..BunnyB said:I think the 7 months is from transfer of file, ie SA date. Yes, I made a copy of the AOR2 and they took that.singsingsing said:that's great! does it take your AOR2 as a supporting doc to proceed with the police cert? that's very good if they do and i will ask my hb to do so in advance..
Congrats!!quebec77 said:Just received my COPR in the mail today! I took less than 3 months.
I am really happy and wish you all the best of luck with your application.
Nice one! Which visa office?quebec77 said:Just received my COPR in the mail today! I took less than 3 months.

Well, my friend submitted all of that and his wife was till denied the spousal sponsorship. They have about 10-year age difference between them. My friend has appeal this week and hired a lawyer. You never know what the CIC agent will think. All you can do is submit everything you have and if the CIC officer makes the wrong assumption about your marriage, then go through the appeal process.Koifish76 said:Assume the above checklist is as follows (simply for example purposes)
A.- Length of time knowing each other before marrying.
B.- Age/Education differences between partners
C.- Total time physically together since being married
D.- Knowledge of marriage of both partner's friends/family
your file transfer date is on the sponsorship approval. it's estimated to be that date or the next day. some visa office will send a second aor with a date, and it may be the same as sa.ovasquez1 said:Congrats!!
...I see a lot of people have a date for "file transfer"..how do we know if our file is transferred? Is it a good sign to have your file transferred?
