you won't be able to check whether your application is received through ECAS. Even though the system says you can use your receipt number to check your status, this is not the case. Only file numbers and UCIs are used to check your status, which may be received in the acknowledgement of receipt. If not, it will be on the Sponsorship Approval that is sent out.

At this point, you have quite a while to wait until you receive either one of those. It's been a trend AOR and SAs come within hours or days of eachother. Right now, they are processing applications received on March 21st. If you have tracking information for your package, it's suggested you check that to see if it's been received or signed for. You will not receive any notification that the package arrived.

As I have already have UCI number ( Sponsor ) , Cannot i use that to check in Ecas ? , Only after AOR or SA ECAS will be updated ? , I know for Sponsored person , they donot have UCI , have to wait. i had tracking no on my pkg when i sent it . It has been signed & received by CIC. just wondering when ECAS will get updated first time ..

If you have a UCI from a previous application with CIC, i've read it will be the same, so technically, yes that number will let you check ECAS. Since you sent your application on April 28, it is very unlikely anything will be in the system yet. The website currently suggests they are working on applications submitted March 27th, so technically yours hasn't even been "opened" yet. I would find it a rare stroke of luck if your ECAS was updated prior to that with information regarding your AOR or SA. CIC is way beyond the 34 day wait period for SA they suggest on the website.

I checked the UCI given to my husband and it only has his information from 2009 when he applied for residence, I am assuming later on our new information will be loaded on there?

Just hoping that everyone from our group gets SA before the next long weekend. Yikes so much stress for everyone waiting so long.

My husband just forwarded me the Sponsorship approval..does that mean nothing was missing in our application? Can someone update my information?

Some good news : ) My hubby just got approved as a sponsor!!! yay! and my request to extend my stay for 1 year also got approved!! Double yay!!

still no SA for us! my wonderful husband called again today, and we now have a temp client number for him so we can check online. At least that's progress. I also just double checked the tracking on my document, and it was delivered on April 22, so since that's 2 weeks from tomorrow, i'm not as stressed about not receiving the return receipt post card yet. I know regular snail mail takes FOREVER between canada and US. Also, now knowing it's been less than 2 weeks since they received it, i'm a little more at ease. My gut feeling is that our application has been labeled with a "bring forward date", and they won't even be touching our file again until that 45 day grace period is up... which brings us to the END of may!!! fingers crossed we get the approval before i return in June!!! Regardless, i will be making sure my dear husband calls weekly to check in.

I put your SA as today. Do you know when you got AOR? or when the app was received by CIC?
I put that it was received on the 15th just tentatively because the formulas don't work unless you have a date in there.

Edit: Also, did you do your medical? I don't have a date for that either.

So stupid, I called them and now they say they can't do anything for me until Mississauga responds to their request for info on my behalf, and who knows how long that will be?

Already 39 days without AOR or SA.
