I know this might just sound a little complicated but if you knew someone who was inside of Canada could they not do a three way call between you and the canadian call center number? And the third party could just not say anything. I havent done three way calling in a really long time but I'm sure you can still do it.

yeah, that's an option i'm considering to do with my husband. though it may just be easier to have him call.

the website was updated again and they are working on applications revived on 20th , just two days added to it, it usually more than two days ! Processing time now 34 wow

haha... well actually he tends to be better at finagling information out of people. mostly because i get frustrated more easily, start yelling and end up getting hung up on. lol of course i wll be on my best behavior if i ever get a chance to get through to that line!

Yeah was just about to tell you this..
Just means you don't have to get worried since they're still working on March 20th Applications.
If it were March 22nd, you would have to be worried, but clearly they're experiencing high volume! So give it a few more days....

Hey-o!

Just wanted to chime in re: calling them. I called them using Skype (I am not in Canada) and at first got the message "this call is not allowed from your calling area" or whatever. I hung up, called again and got through. The woman "looked up" our file using the receipt # then said there was nothing in the system, so the package likely hadn't even been opened yet.

2 hours later we got AOR!

There is a non-1800 number to call.. I'll see if I can find it.

Yes, you need to use Skype Credit if you're going to call regular phone numbers through skype.

Oh hahaha for me it's the reverse, my husband would just start yelling. I am the calm one. lol

try to download magic jack and i am sure you can use the free account. Once you have the free account try calling the 1800 number

And, right now, I do not have anybody in Canada to call for me

Hi Group,

Mississauga Office received my application of Sponsorship (for my wife) on March 14, 2014 and then I received AOR on April 11, 2014 sayinig that they received my sponsorship application. Now I'm checking the cic processing time page for family sponsorship and they are saying that they are working on Working on applications received on March 20, 2014 but mine was received on March 14. I called 1-888 number and they told me that my application is in process but it might took extra time as they are confirming some extra info..not sure what they are confirming though!!! Any idea group..Please share your views experience..Thank you.

So stupid, I was expecting AOR and SA tomorrow, but now they added 5 more days to the processing time. Can't wait for the next quarterly update on the VO processing times, I'm sure Singapore will go from 30 to 32 months.

CIC updated the processing time today, now they working on applications received on March 20, and the processing days increased to 34 days. Is this means AOR will be received afer 34 days ? , What about the SA ? , Generally how long after SA will be sent ?
