Am I the only one checking this thread 1 million times a day to see who's gotten their AORs?? It gives me hope! Hahaha Congrats to all that have gotten their SA so far!

Question! When we submitted our App we put Beirut as our chosen VO, as we're applying from inside Syria (and the embassy here is closed).

However, on the CIC website it says that Beirut is only responsible for Lebanese PR apps ( http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/offices/missions/beirut.asp )

Is there a possibility that our file could get transferred to Jordan or Turkey? Those offices are, according to the website, processing Syrian PR apps.

I'm worried because if they need us to come pick up a visa/go for an interview it will be VERY difficult to get to either of those places. What do y'all think?

CIC says India would take 13 months!! and i was thinking that is wwwaaaaaaaayyyyyyyy toooooo lonnnnnnggggg!!

I refresh this forum every 15 mins.

I've been refreshing the processing times page for step 1 all day today every few minutes.

Waiting for AOR all the time.

Hello Everybody!

I got impatient and decided to call the CIC call centre! The agent I spoke to just said they are waiting for my background check to come through and everything else looks good. (apparently officers leave notes on the file, and the reps can access them ). They're working on applications received around the 03-01-2014 - 03-06-14, or at least thats what I was told! I think we should see some more approvals and AORs soon here! ;D

Yeah but I've seen people here in this thread have their AOR after only 8 days!
Also someone else on their forum had it only after 12 days or so?!

You are absolutely right! I even saw after 8 days. But I said " usually" not all cases are the same. Trust me I understand your anxiety. I was literally counting 29 days! : )

That's good news. I trace it and noticed it cover a week of work, hence why it's updated weekly. So next week when it ipdates again it will capture your week. Your AOR is almost here : )
