that "generic" response that i got was their reply after i got that email acknowledging they have received my email (stating they have 28 days before they can reply back).

Here's a snip of the attached letter.

"This is in response to your e-mail inquiry. Please note your file has been transferred to the Visa Office in Manila. The contact information can be found below. Should you require to contact the office, please ensure that all correspondence includes the complete name and date of birth of your relative(s) as well as the application number listed above. You may contact the visa office by e-mail, fax or in writing as follows: <Embassy of Canada in Manila contact information here>

then below contains, Application processing times, Contact Information, Change of Adddress info.

- not sure why Mississauga replied to my email sent to Manila Visa Office email address.. is this right?? shouldn't it be the VO from manila replying?

HELP! Today i received this email from rome office.Is it strange after asking for passport they are requesting other documents? Do you think i need to write them an email to clarify that they said they are going to issue the visa in an other email? and now they are requesting for documents like nothing has happened? For sure i will provide the requested document. i m so sad,it seems like they have emailed the wrong person.

Guys, posted this on a different thread too, from GCSM notes

I applied for first set of notes on August 21 and received them today.

Summary of notes:

Assessments: Eligibility: Not Started; Security: Not Started; Criminality: Not Started; Medical: Passed (as of May 2014)
Eligibility Assessment 1: Status: Not Started

Notes from Mississauga says: Sponsor's first marriage, no other sponsorship on file, sponsor meets eligibility.

It also says: No biodata on back of at least one photograph of PA. (Is this a concern?)

Based on this, do you guys think I am on the right track?

Also,

was wondering if INFO SHARING is a standard section? It says

Type: Biographic
Partner: USA
Status: NRT

Your GCMS notes don't have much information at the moment. You will know your file is going in right direction when they say under Eligibility: Recommend Passed for the applicant, or under the Notes, they describe your relationship as genuine and then say, "Recommend Interview Waived"

That sucks, I wonder if it's really as hard as just simply going into a computer, finding your UCI#, and hitting send?

LOL....that made me laugh. I ordered the notes just once two months ago and I received it in my email exactly 30 days after I mailed it to them. I think they just try to discourage people from ordering the notes frquently, that is why they delay it for 30 days.

just wanted inform you guys that i received "a decision has been made" status, i didn't know what is the date exactly , we've only checked it today.

is this status means they're sending me my passport with visa?

For Singapore VO, about 5-8 weeks on ave. We are hoping its sooner of course. She is already 22 weeks pregnant. Its gonna be very tight window for her to quit job and buy plane tickets before it's too late in the pregnancy.
