For Singapore applicants, if you check your ECAS, it will change to IN-Process before PPR. Especially if there is no need to redo medical or PCC. The length of time between in process and PPR depends on a few things, including mailing time and final security checks. Normally within a few days to 10 days. Having in process on ECAS is also a good indicator PPR should reach your mailing address soon.mikeymyke said:Ah I see, so just gotta wait for the PPR email. My wife's coming here on Friday, if she gets PPR, we're going to submit it after she's finished her stay in Canada as a visitor
@rhcohen2014 oh lucky you...i can imagine how it feels like hope you have a safe flight! i plan to land on friday... nervous and excited all at the same time. thinking this is what getting married was suppose to really feel like a year ago.
Thanks! I'm driving actually. So I'll have a car full of stuff and a 6 hr trip to the border, and another 2 to Ottawa!orchidea said:@ rhcohen2014 oh lucky you...i can imagine how it feels like hope you have a safe flight! I'm going crazy waiting!.... till i will see PPR in my email :'( :-[
And that makes perfect sense whereas it doesn't make any sense to send PPR prior to processing an application. We use ECAS to find out if the VO has started processing our application. But it is clear that the Manila Vo and the Ottawa CIC office process applications but do not update ECAS until after they send PPR. Again, this is one government department under one Minister not following the same set of rules and proceedures. Each CIC office has their own processing sequence and they require different types documents (original Vs photocopies).Koifish76 said:For Singapore applicants, if you check your ECAS, it will change to IN-Process before PPR.

Sorry for asking...what is B4, a form?uskyoot said:My hubby will be landing on Saturday. We will be driving eight hrs from Knoxville to Windsor. Finally got the B4 finished
try ordering the free notes through the privacy act. i think there is an increase of notes for the access to info act, so it seems to be backed up. my notes seemed to have been complete (sponsor AND applicant info), and arrived in exactly 30 days. what i got seems to be the opposite of what everyone on here says i was suppose to get. according to this forum, it was only suppose to be info from mississauga, yet i got full notes, including info on what the visa officer thought about our relationship. i am not sure if this is because my application is in ottawa (therefore, still in canada), because it's complete already, or if the information i received was wrong. the way i see it, it's free so there's no harm in experimenting!Canadianfairy said:I believe B4 form is the form you fill out that list all the items you are brining into Canada. Either with you at the time of boarder crossing or if you have shipped things to yourself that will arrive at a later date..
Today is 30 days since I requested GCMS notes and haven't got them yet I know there maybe a delay but does anyone know approx how long they are behind?
Thnx for the info I found it : http://www.cbsa.gc.ca/publications/forms-formulaires/b4-eng.pdfCanadianfairy said:I believe B4 form is the form you fill out that list all the items you are brining into Canada. that's weird. did you request them on behalf of the applicant? if so, did you attached the consent form?Canadianfairy said:I actually mistakenly ordered the free ones and got a reply last week telling me I was not entitled to the notes...
I regret to inform you that we are unable to process your request for the following reason(s):
Requests made under the Privacy Act require that your client be a Canadian citizen, a permanent resident or an individual present in Canada. Please provide proof that your client is entitled to make a request under the Privacy Act (i.e.: copy of a stamped passport, valid visa, citizenship certificate or corporation registration). If your client is not eligible to apply under the Privacy Act, you may submit your request under the Access to Information (ATI) Act along with a $5 application fee.
So not sure why I am not allowed to have the free ones.. I am a Canadian citizen but not living in Canada at the moment but it Cleary says that you need to either be Canadian citizen, a permanent resident OR a individual present in Canada so to me that makes it sound like being a Canadian citizen I am entitled to this information.
Wow!! Congrats Mikeymike! How long on average does Singapore request the passport after 'In Process'? It's good to hear from you on here ;D We have both been busy preparing and have been wondering how you and your wife are doing. My husband will be here in just over a week! So excited!!!mikeymyke said:Hey guys, more great news for me. My wife's application has gone to IN PROCESS!!!! ;D ;D
Someone please update the spreadsheet!
I just got the news today through ECAS, but it actually said her file went into In Process on August 22! So that's great, my timeline is similar to the other 2 guys from Singapore VO whose applications went quickly. I'm really really glad Singapore isn't as slow as last year. So Singapore applicants who have a good application with no issues should expect In Process/PPR in about 5 months from the time Missisauga gets their application. That's a big difference from the posted 30 month processing time!
