hi,
Has anybody got any response who applied on 1st march...???
I just got my application back because I used old format for IMM 008....?

Now still they have not refunded the fees but what should I do should? Because in the letter they have mentioned that we have refunded the fees and when you apply again please pay the fees again.

What about the reference letter do I need to get the another letter or the same letter would work since it's just a month old!!!!1

They will refund it to you via your CC. You have to update all the forms before sending it back to CIO. The letter would be fine.

Hi,

I plan to take CEC route to PR under the same NOC code but right now i do not have a job offer, do you think if i can come in canada on visitors vsa i can get a job in NOC code 2171?

Hi,
I don't have any idea about this NOC code which is all about IT field... :( But to come Canada on visitors visa and find job that too in particular NOC code.... too tough. It's as good as taking chance to dive in the ocean to find the pearl. :o I am not saying it's impossible but it's really hard because any employer would ask for the work permit or the PR card to hire you. :-[ You should try only online application instead of visiting Canada.

Thanks gracy016,
But when I received the application back, I also received the letter stating that please use the updated generic form and provide the information about the spouse additional family information.
Also do you know in how much time do they refund the fees.? As they said they will refund the fees but I haven't received yet. So, what should I do should I pay the fees again and send the application again?

As gracy said, if they send a CC, it will take a few days as its Canada Post...

And you must pay the fees again as CIC mentioned to you in the letter. Always follow what CIC says...

Hello March crew!

My application was returned today, because I used the wrong Additional Family Information Form. So I will be resubmitting my package tomorrow. (Yup, not wasting any time! lol)

Although I am VERY disappointed in myself for making such a silly mistake, I am somewhat relieved, because now I have my 2012 T4 and NOA plus my new Police Certificate, so I can be sure to send a complete package this time.
As for the rest of my application, its appears to have been ticked with a red pen by someone at CIO. So I assume this means that everything else was fine. So that is also something to put my mind at ease regarding the other forms in my application package.

Let my experience be a lesson to everyone to double check your forms, and then double check them 3 more times!

As of tomorrow, I am joining the April 2013 group!

Hi Chia,

I am sorry to hear about this, but I like your positive thinking. I wish you Good luck
Could you clarify bit more on what kind of mistake you did... have you not used the Additional Information form/pdf from the Package of application forms in CEC site. Where you got the old version, has the version changed from the time that you downloaded and filed.
I have done a small mistake in additional information sheet though.... are they looking for the version we used or the information we entered.
Thanks for confirming.

Hi Navarth,

It seems I used a form called 'Family Information' instead of 'Additional Family Information form'
I have no idea how this may have happened. Perhaps this was from the old package, I probably saved it on my computer since December of Last Year, not realizing that the form had been updated.

In regards to the payment, can anyone shed some light, or give their opinion on whether or not I am correct to NOT pay the $550 fee twice. I paid online on February 22nd, I will resend the exact same payment receipt used the first time. The letter I received states:

"Your application is incomplete. Your application fee was not processed and is being returned to you. Your application has not been received, and no record has been retained"

I made my payment online, but my letter does not say that it will be refunded, therefore I will use the same payment receipt with my 2nd application package 2mrw. Is this correct???

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

My papers was received march 12 2013 ,i just checked on status of my papers it only said the received it march 12
i dont know if the review it yet..So i wait patiently :D

Hey,

Same thing happen with me too... :( But I had old version of generic form as it was not opening in my chrome and I found the old version from the bank of scotia site. Any ways I filled the new form and sent my application yesterday. Hopefully this time everything is in correct manner.

I checked with Canada post on this as I had confusion that XPress post is courier or regular post. She said, if you are using their Xpress post service (or priority) it is considered as "courier" not regular post, hence I should send to CIC "courier" address. Which also means, Xpress post or priority needs someone to receive our item, so it should go to courier address where some one will be available in person or so. I also added 'signature' option for another 1.5 $. I tracked the application and also saw the receiver signature online.

So if you are sending by regular post (not xpress or higher) it should be sent the regular post address (however it may not be a big issue I guess)
I had sent via xpress post after confirming that CP will not ask for signature, so I sent it to the regular post address.
But I could see the signature after delivery, don't know whether CP went wrong or I went wrong.

I believe you mean Credit Card by CC. In my case they dispatched my application on 21st March and I received a week later, but still I have not received any refund on my credit card.
I do not understand why it takes so long for credit card refund when they have determined that I should be refunded on 21st March itself.
