Hi

If you are the sponsor and have submitted sponsorship applications for a spouse to CIC Mississauga and as you say that was 4 months ago then by now you should have had an AOR (Acknowledge of Receipt) from Mississauga already. Following that you should 've had an SA (Sponsor Approval) too.

Upon receiving your AOR in the same letter or email you will receive your UCI number (Universal Client ID) and also the case file number to help you be identified with CIC.

The sponsor gets (either AOR or SA ) as an email notification (if you already gave them one in your apps) or he gets the notification through regular mail (snail mail)

Right after SA the applications are transferred to your regional Visa Office for the process of evaluating the Principal Applicant (your spouse)

So if I understood correctly and for 4 months now you haven't heard anything from CIC I would recommend to you to check your Spam folder in your mailer program and if not found there try to call CIC Call center and make an inquiry!

Hello there!

Immediately after your Sponsor is approved your file is transferred to your Visa Office (in your case Mexico)
Mexico then is supposed to send you the AOR (Acknowledge of Receipt) I many cases VO's do not send AOR's so if you get one you are lucky.
Either way they are supposed to start working on your file any moment now. Only thing you can do is wait for their first move!

I hope I hear from them soon , now in june its going to be 3 months since they have our application & I still haven´t hear from the at all :'(

The same applies to most of us here too Frida, I know how you feel
I am a February applicant. I and many of my thread co-members have not heard also from our respective VO's. C'est la vie!
Patience will reward you at the end!

I will never understand why they take so long with this whole process , its very frustating & havent you contact them about your case ?? I mean like send them an email like most people do to see whats up with your case ?? I know I been trying to be realy patience but its so hard & no I´m in Mexico and my husband is in Canada :'( hbu ??

i know how it is believe me! No it won't matter for me sending them an email because I know the answer I will get. That we are within processing times and that's all. It's not worth the aggravation. our E-cas showing Application received (at Mississauga) and that is all! Me and many others including you I guess! I will give it another month before i give them a shout!

In your net personal income for the precding 12 months for example in my previous job i worked only for 5months and my present job is 3months do i need to combine my income or do i need to print 2 Imm 5481 for sponsorship evaluation instead of combining them ill do it seperate help guys im confuse...

Or you can base it on your Notice of Assessment. Everything you need is on there.

It should be the total income in last 12 months......all the jobs combined together as they want an idea of how much u earn

Not very long ....I hope!

We sent our apps for my spouse in February. Got approval in March. Our E-cas says only that Applications and Medicals received and that's all!
No news from Vienna.
I know that any day now we will hear something. My anxiety is also very big and I check my email many times a day! As i said before. There is no point calling them or sending them emails. We will soon notify them of course for a renewed passport so I guess they have to reply to confirm this.
I remember in 1980 when i applied the process was totally different and you couldn't get in touch at all. No Internet those years. Now a days at least we have this media that helps us get info a lot faster.
Patience that's all we can do!

So much for patience. I (we) just couldn't take it anymore. I purchased my plane ticket last night and i'm going to see my wife. It's been almost 9 months and enough is enough already. I understand process takes time but it's getting too hard. Hopefully she gets her PPR while im there and she can come back with me or i just extend my stay until she gets it. Time for some sweet lovin's ;D I can't wait to see her and maybe take a honeymoon finally. Maybe to Greece and visit our good friend Tom Life is to short to be checking emails, spam folders and ecas status every day hahahahaha.
