I was 109 days and there are still some people from February waiting....and CIC won't do anything until after the processing date of applications has been passed....right now they say working on February 29th......so they will tell you to call back after the March 6th day has passed....they will advise the 82 days is an approximation.......I would wait till CIC posts they are processing March 6th or later apps.....it sucks I know but you should hear very shortly.......

Thanks KJG I think i'll just wait. :)

I would call to ask what he thinks you guys should do... if he charges you everytime you call I would wait until they update this week as of now the only answer that you will get is we are working on applications received on February 29th. Maybe wait until friday?

As I work for a lawyer....pretty sure he dockets every phone call he makes and the time it takes even if it is just the assistant doing it!!!! wait till the update occurs and March 6th is either being worked on or passed.....I know its awful feeling like you are doing nothing but lawyers don't get anymore information then the rest of us at this point.........chin up it will be soon :D

Thanks Cgagnon, No he doesn't charge us on these calls but I believe KJG is right i'll just wait for them to change the status on the CIC web site cause I don't want to hear this answer call us after three weeks! And who knows we might get the answer tomorrow!!

So I guess some more patience will be required....

Thanks again guys :)

They're likely to change the date to the first week of March on this Thursday. After that, I predict they will skip ahead to the third week of March because so many applicant's who applied in the second week have been approved. I just want them to hurry the hell up! As it gets closer to my approval date, the stress and anxiety build!

What really bothers me is the fact that no one in the Canadian government is going to bat for us, at least not to the point where this whole family class sponsorship debacle is getting the attention it deserves in the mainstream media.

Hi,

My Wife got her PPR request today.

She is currently staying in Canada with me on visitors visa.

Questions is, should I send my wife back to India, to send her passport to ND or wait for sometime.

Please advice!

Not only are they not going to bat for us they keep closing down more and more offices so no wonder Mississauga gets so far behind....and of course who suffers...us......grrrrrrrr......but I think you are right I think cic will update this week to sometime in March and then you will see a big jump....once February is cleaned up I think you guys will get through a bit faster.....but dare I say it...summer holiday season is approaching :(

I would look into if it's illegal in ND to mail her passport to them or not. From my understanding, some countries consider it illegal to mail your passport overseas.

Summer holiday season? Are you implying that a lot of staff at CIC, including visa officers, will go on holiday, thus causing even more of a delay? Is this is true, does it also mean the same thing for the visa office abroad??

I really hope not!!!

Hey all you pro out there, question for you?

According to the CIC-M call centre agent my file was transferred to NEW DELHI VO on the 12th of june, just so let you know my application was received on march the 9th.
I have the UCI number and i also have the file number though i cant check my status on ECAS, its been 6 days now that i am not able to get any info with the help of the UCI code or the file number...
Is anyone else having the same problem, do they not update the ECAS on regular basis....can anyone guide me on how the process work when it comes to ECAS.....

Thanks

Then she would have to go back to India.
