I'm happy to announce that we rec'd our sponsorship approval today via post...from the Mississauga office.
Letter dated Jun5, 2012, Date Rec'd Jun 16, 2012. Our app was rec'd by the CIC on March 13, 2012.

Our VO is LA.

Happy Saturday....Let's see some more approvals for all of my forum friends soon.

Yes, even though we're really into the process, I've found it necessary to come up with some sort of an activity that is both useful and distracting. Vigorous exercise works great for me. The plus side is that I'll be super fit by the time my husband's visa is issued!

Ah...CIC...I hate them! Why keep someone hanging like that? If they send an e-mail, just let the person know if he/she has been approved!! Sheesh!!!

As if they can't just say if approved or not. Decision made is pure BS. They want all the proofs and documents and data but have no guts even to send out the results properly. Its like you go with your pregnant wife to hospital to find out if its a boy or girl and they say we did the tests, its a baby.

That isn't an email. He was just copy pasting what he sees on ecas. They cannot put the decision on ecas for two reasons, IMO. First because of security issues. And second because you can't tell someone they were denied on ecas. That would be cruel. They need a letter with all the info. But anyway we all know Decision Made basically means approved. And you can always call.

That made me laugh! Exactly. How long would it take to send an e-mail? Less than a minute? As if they don't have the manpower or time to simply let an applicant know that he/she has been approved.

CIC talks about moving towards doing everything online. So how come they still send out letters instead of e-mails? They don't seem to know their ass from a hole in the ground. Moreover, we're paying 'clients'...if this were all for free that would be one thing, but it's not, so they should be obligated to provide first world service...and an e-mail is so easy, it blows my mind that they do business like this...no wonder there's a backlog!

Hey Guyz,

i called CIC on Wednesday when they said my file was approved and forwarded to NEW DELHI on June 12th, i have the UCI and the file number as well. I am not able to see any update on ECAS.

can you guys advice how long does it take for me to check the status on ECAS.

my application was received by CPC-M on march the 9th.

please advice.

And what is the process once the file is forwarded to VO..

I received an AOR email on the 14th of June and today I could log into ecas.

that's great - your approval is probably around the corner, hopefully tomorrow, and almost for sure this week, if your file is complete etc!
