Maybe, and i think that May applicants are the most affected applicants since they prioritized the victims of typhoon yolanda.. on the spreadsheet we are averaging 3-4 months from PPR to DM..
Yeah I've seen that with quite a few of them, but as of late I've seen that once you're in process it moves much more quickly then it was before so maybe they finally got all the typhoon victims completed. Hope this is process is going to be much quicker then it was over the last several months. I noticed quite a few people from December to about May being affected by what you were mentioning.

1)We received your application for permanent residence on October 3, 2013.

**Got an additional documents request on May 26th to prove I'm living in Canada or plan to reside in Canada which I am currently, sent it and they received it on June 2nd according to the tracking**

2)We started processing your application on June 2, 2014.

3)Medical results have been received.

4)Just checked today and saw:

"A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision."

Now waiting for the COPR hopefully.

Btw, I just wanted to thank everyone who is posting their stats on the spreadsheet. It's so fun watching the date creep closer and closer. It sure looks like they are moving faster these days. Hope that's good news but really worried they will come back and ask for further proof of our move to canada. We can't do anything until we find out whether my husband will get the visa. He has a letter of intent for a job from a company in canada but that's about all I sent. Recently, as things are getting closer, I've been job searching in canada and figuring out what to do with our house here in japan. But none of that was in action when we applied. Most messages I've read say people have sent letter from family. I don't know...if you spend a thousand dollars on the visa, that should be a pretty good indication of intent you'd think.

Hi everyone,
It seems like 98% of the applications from October got a PPR. We are still waiting.
Nothing by post or by email.
My application is from Japan - would I get a PPR? Does anyone know?
Thx,
GT

Japan is Passport exempt, no PPR.

Guys i received a reply from the embassy when i emailed them last may 23. any thought? This refers to your application for permanent residence in Canada as member of the family class.

Please be informed that documents submitted have been received.

Application is currently on queue for visa officer’s review.

You will be notified if additional documents may be required.

Hey GT,

We're also in Japan and living in Yokoyama until my husband's visa comes through. Step I already had this conversation and he pointed out that Japan is visa exempt. But I was curious and went back and read the case processing information in the sponsorship guide specific to Japan. So here's what it says...

The processing of your application undergoes several stages of review before a decision is made. If during the review, additional information [documents, additional medical test, etc.] or an interview is required from you to enable the officer to make a decision, you will be notified by mail.

If no further information is required, the decision will be made by the officer and you will be notified if your application is approved to refused.

If your application is approved, a letter outlining steps required to issue your visa will be sent to you by mail. If your application is refused, a refusal letter will be sent to you by mail. Your sponsor will also be notified of the refusal and will be advised of his or her appeal rights by letter.

Hope it helps. (Not really because we're still in the dark, right?)

Heather

This is simply a "form response" to your enquiry. It just means that 'yes' they have it and 'yes' it's still waiting to be looked at.

Question: Hoping someone can help me( wife is driving me nuts, when's VISA coming)
In process May 20,2014.
PPR and Appendix A May29,2014. By phone originally then CIC sent e-mail.
Decision Made June 6,2014.
How long does it usually take for VISA to be issued and the applicant receive?
( I know it's a stupid question, but just trying to get some idea)
Thanks.

Wow, that's great that your getting the visa. It should only take approximately 3-5 business days after shes been approved for Visa. So the wife is driving you nuts eh!? Mine too, now that ours is in process as of June 3rd she's getting all worried now that there is going to be a delay or more documentations are going to be requested or she's going to be rejected by the VO. Anyways buddy, congrats, you'll be getting the Visa sometime this week.

Thanks, but until VISA in hand not taking anything for granted.
Ours was in process 17 days before DM. You too should be hearing soon.
Once my wife receives VISA, I will book flight over to get CFO sticker and bring her back.
Quick trip hopefully not more than a week stay, then home.
