I don't think she needs to redo the seminar. Just show the certificate and they will issue the sticker. She had that last year, its not like if it was 5 years ago. My wife also took the seminar upfront and I don't expect her to have to redo that.
Thanks

All she has to do Step is take the certificate to CFO to show she has completed the seminar, there they will give her the sticker. She may want to all the CFO before going, just in case she needs to make an appointment.
Thanks, I fired CFO an e-mail but no response yet. Maybe we will wait till I get there, figure it out then.

According to my wife all you need to do is take your passport, visa and your certificate from the seminar, they give you the stamp or sticker and "voila!" your good to go!

Thank you, good to know. One less thing to worry about, mid to late June I will make the trip back. ( if all goes well)

hello guys!

I just have a question :)

My son arrived here in Canada last month under a student permit...

His passport was requested by Canadian Embassy in Manila for his PR application under Spousal Sponsorship Inland (he is a dependent).
Now, on the Appendix A, on the " address where your passport can be returned by courier collect " I put our Canada address already since he is here now.

Now my dumb question is, are they really going to send the passport back here ? maybe via DHL? or should I have sent them a "return" envelope or something? Sorry to ask this but this Inland/Outland process is confusing me. I know I should have asked the forum first before I submitted the passport just so I have peace of mind. :)

Thank you guys!
I believe passport will be returned collect to the address you specified on Appendix A. Most likely DHL, you will have pay when package arrives.

Hi. Just a quick question. We are 5 months in now and I'm wondering if they needed additional documentation would they email me, the sponsor or my husband, the applicant. He doesn't check his very often.

Easy fix, just get your husbands e-mail log in info check yourself. I check my wife's e-mail all the time.

For Manila VO might be a bit early yet for app to be looked at.Also check E-CAS more closely at about the 8 th month. Many show meds received first, that is a good sign app being looked at.( if meds don't show previously)

Hello guys!

Its been more than a year since the last time I looked in this forum. I applied last 2012 but GOT denied to sponsor my husband.
App applied 23-MAY-2012
Received 28-MAY-2012
AOR Received.: 5-JULY-2012
Received letter: October 28, 2012
Reason for denial: did not meet the req to Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations 117(d)(9)

Many members here gave me explanations and advised to seek legal advice. So I seek advice from diff Immigration lawyers and consultants from November 2012 -January 2013 but none of them gave me hope. So I stopped. One day in June 2013 one of the consultants i talked to earlier that year phoned me asked me for updates and told me that she believes that my case is argumentable. Before that we requested GCMS information from ATIP (i dont know the meaning of those abbreviations) but since she has not enough power to do the case, she introduced me to this immigration Lawyer. This lawyer explains to me what we should do. That there is some sort of mistake with the decision of cic. SO we reapplied. I am now ELIGIBLE TO SPONSOR my husband! (Thanks God!)

QUESTION: Is there a possibility to deny my husband to his app to PR because of my Ineligibility decision before? Im just worried. Coz right now Im still not fully hopeful.

your husband's ineligibilty will not come from your ineligibity,he has to prove that ur marriage is genuine, just send cic more proof and make sure u clear any doub, the first was denied cos of you not your husband,so have a good heart and be positive, time wil tell

Hi. Thanks for your advice. It's my husbands private account so I won't ask him for his password. I guess I was asking if more info is needed how many months in do they ask for it? That way I can tell my husband to keep an eye out for it. He might just assume it's spam and delete it or may have delegated it already. And the meds came up as being received right away. We did them about a month before we sent in the app, not knowing there was an expire date. All in hindsight!

Ever app different my wife's meds did'nt show on E-CAS until the beginning of May(10 months after meds were done)Our meds too were done over a month before app sent in.
E-mail will come from this address: MANLIMMIGRATION.
Always check spam folder, many people say they show there.
8 month wait, at the earliest before anything happens. Ours was 9 months wait, but once things start happening relatively fast from there.

I got my PPR Apr 28th, Apr 30th my E-CAS showed medicals received and since then there hasn't been a word. My wife is getting so anxious as am I, but at least she's still working so she's not sitting around day in and day out waiting. At least with her working its not as painful going through this last step.

This is the part I can't understand, why some get PPR and then wait. If they request passport CIC should have some idea about app. I can't see why CIC requests passport while application still not completely done or close to finished.
Only thing I did different then most is first part of April we sent in PCC from Abu Dhabi ( without being requested by CEM). Took 5 months to obtain PCC.
I also ordered notes April 24, but I doubt that had any effect.
But until my wife has COPR it's not over for us either.
Hope you receive good news soon.

Well one thing my lawyer did say was that they asked us to pay the landing fee up front, so obviously so far so good. This last little bit of a wait is going to be the hardest, but as we have since applying we'll just wait.
