I've been back and forth with MP..and given information that seems to conflict with our file notes..ie..timelines etc.

I'll share it with you folks soon...the assistant tells me that she can't go direct to CEM for information..
She's gotten her info from Ministerial Enquiries at CIC..
Is that accurate? Can anybody confirm yes or no that she cannot go directly to CEM for info?

She's also tellling us or time line starts clicking from the Sponsorship approval date..conflicts with a drop dead date I think exists in our file notes..

Waiting for our latest file notes.. that should arrive maybe in a week and a half.

In the meantime the clock ticks down on her medicals..no response from an email we sent 1st of February advising expiring meds..no response to CaseSpecific Enquiry...nothing!!

@#$%&!!!!!!

OK SO besides the immigration.. everyone just went nuts after CANADA beat US In hockey!

Great game. Now for Sunday and the Swede's.
Maybe that's why CEM is slow to process, too many breaks to watch the Olympics. Haha.
Go Canada Go, bring home the GOLD.

Can anybody confirm if MP's office can or cannot contact CEM directly? Any "old timers" popping in here?? Personally I don't have much Faith in much that the assistant is saying...based on conflicting dates I can see in our case notes!

YES, they can. They have a big red phone!!

Joking.. but yeah, they can communicate directly with them. Not sure by phone or email but based on previous people's accounts of interactions with their MP it seems certain they can do this.

How about our hockey teams, EH?

Moose is all over the hockey. He was cheering loudly when Canada beat the US. He knows all the players and even asked me who Crosby is because his face is everywhere so he must be really famous. However I couldn't get him to wake up for the 4am final game :(

Hi there, I was just wondering if I really need the NSO marriage certificate or the local city certificate is good enough. I will marry my fiancee this coming June 7, 2014. If we really need the NSO certificate, How long will it take before I can get it from them because I will be leaving 10 days after our church wedding and is there a way that they can expedite the processing of the NSO certificate? I really want to submit the application as soon as I land here in Canada. Thank you.
Save your CENOMAR's to submit with your application. They require them to be sure your marriage titles are 'clear'. It's either that or get the Advisory On Marriage which involves requesting a CENOMAR once you're married and that's the resulting paper you get. The document checklist requires one of the two.

Another thing I just remembered, if you are a foreigner . You will have to get Certificate of Non-Marriage before You can marry in the Philippines. Has to be obtained at CEM, simple painless process. Just take your passport, SIN Card, birth certificate.they will issue on the spot.
