Thank you. How about the communication, Do I have to print about 300 pages and counting of chat logs? We don't really have phone bills because we only call by Video Call (Facetime) and for the pictures, Do i need to print them on photo papers separately or I can print them on bond papers?

YES, they can. They have a big red phone!!

Joking.. but yeah, they can communicate directly with them. Not sure by phone or email but based on previous people's accounts of interactions with their MP it seems certain they can do this.

Big RED phone....like the "Bat Line" ? Smile...I kind of knew that from following this thread...I'm just not sure how to tell the assistant how to do her or his job and not ruffle too many feathers in the process...right now they're the only ones that are kind of accessible..

To simplify your "chat" logs....we gave them selections...picked dates early middle and ending towards just before we submitted our application..

You can submit photos individually and provide date and times and indicate whos who..orr...what we did was organize our photos on Word docs and captioned them...organizing into "First Visit" "Second Visit" "Mrs JGM comes to Canada"...and "Fourth Visit" etc etc and organized them to flow with our story of how our relationship evolved...

Another thing I just remembered, if you are a foreigner . You will have to get Certificate of Non-Marriage before You can marry in the Philippines. Has to be obtained at CEM, simple painless process. Just take your passport, SIN Card, birth certificate.they will issue on the spot.

Go to the Canadian Embassy when you arrive in Manila to get this paper. Takes about an hour and cost about $50. If you have any previous divorces you should bring the documentation:

Don't worry about ruffling feathers, remember MP works for you. You are the one who pays their wage. Or as StephC said go to another close by, maybe they will be more receptive.

Yeah i second this too... These people work for you and this is what they are suppose to do. Some of the office workers may not know the procedure to contact them but you should be able to help them along.

Just an update guys..

So wife got here on the feb 7, 2013

She has done the following so far to get accustomed to Canadian ways:

Went through YWCA/YMCA to get her language test
Currently attending seminars for new immigrants
Workshop for jobs for new immigrants
Got me drinking Juice made out of spinach, kale, all kinds of green leafy vegetables (LOL)

Went through every mall in the GTA shopping for her clothes..

My suggestions to new immigrants is to research and get into programs for new comers cause it really helps..
My wife is now telling me what to do based on what she has learned while attending the seminars.

I've tried one already..and wouldn't take anything on from outside they're constituency.

I'll look for an alternative...I'm outside the country for the time being annnd will pursue this more easily when I'm back..

I would CC the other parties shadow CIC persons. I think Dewar might be the NDP one. Even cc the media. A good person to ask is Canadian Jeep Guy, he had a lot of experience in letter writing. You might want to try Baird office too. Reference me too, saying you are getting no help from your riding.

For the language test, you don't have to take it, it is totally up to you.
