Well, after 16 months and 8 days my Ecas finally changed to DM last night! I made a joke in another thread that hopefully yesterday's maintenance included some DM's, ha ha.
This past 2 weeks I have ordered my case notes, complained to my MP twice, sent a case specific enquiry to Manila and wrote a scathing letter to Chris Alexander. Not sure if any of that helped and I guess I'll never know.
Now just have to wait for the decision letter and hopefully the COPR.

Scosan

Congratulations Scosan...Glad for you that this is almost done for you!

Shaking my head..in any time during this did Ecas ever show anything other than "application received"? I'm curious....did anybody at any time respond to your letters or any of your queries?

My wife file also had a decision made last night.

Good for you!!! Congrats!!!

My wife got called by the Canadian embassy. (Status on Canada immigration website is Decision Made)
They asked her for pictures to finish processing the file.
Does it means they did accept her file ?

Thank you, JGM. The only response I ever received from all the emails, letters, case specific inquiries and complaints was 4 weeks ago when my MP's office received a note from CEM saying my file was in queue for final review. Pretty lousy service. I feel really let down by this whole process. It's hard for me to believe that not one letter to a Federal politician (I sent many during the strike) was ever even acknowledged!

My file only changed once when it went to "In Process" on Oct 30. So it took 90+ days for DM after In Process.

hey guys..
I need help.

I just moved to a new place as a sponsor and I need to change my address.. its asking me on the process online if there is anyone listed on my application (which is my wife) who is coming here in two days.. She has a copy of our lease with her name on it ..

anyone know if I can change my address now.. and also include her client id.. for that change of address.

Since they are going to send the PR card to our new address anyways.

any suggestions

Its a pretty disgusting way to treat people isnt it..there's ZERO respect or dignity offered by our Government in this process and I'm starting to loose patience..like many of us I've always worked, Ive always payed my taxes, and I've never taken from the system more than I was entitled to.

Ill be writing some nasty letters when this whole thing is behind us...and for sure I know one political party that will NEVER see a vote cast from my hand...ever!

The fact that you got married means more than your chat logs. The only thing they establish are the length of time you have been in contact and if you speak to each other like spouses do. That matters if you applied common law or conjugal. Not so much once you get married.

You will never ever ever get rejected for showing too much proof, the opposite is not necessarily true.

Is it possible, that the reason CEM is slowing down with the processing is due to the prioritizing of the Yolanda victims? I'm just guessing, but I wonder if that is a possibility? I know there are a few of you on here who are getting frustrated over this sponsorship process, I too am in the middle of it, however my AOR was August 8th 2013 so God know's how long I will have to wait.

CEM is staffed by morons. I received my AOR in November 2012. CEM received my wife's application on November 19, 2012. They STARTED processing her application in November 2013, according ECAS.

Is a very big possibility, has to be slowing down other apps. But not sure how many would be from Yolanda area.
You are before ours was AOR: August 28, 2013.
I have been waiting for updates on processing times. Last was October, updated quarterly. Would think should be soon, who knows . See how many months they increase this time.

Good Luck,

I agree, beginning to see how incompetent CEM is. Your app. processing time is unacceptable, no way should take that long. Hopefully you will hear good news soon. And workers needed a raise. Ha. They better earn it soon.

Good Luck, JRPW.

Whenever I go online to see whats going on with my case, nothing has been updated since September of 2013. I scratch my head and wonder whats going on? Sent an email back in November and all that was said was my application was well within the time limit. Talk about being kept in the dark. I almost felt as though they are saying "how dare you ask?"

Who cares what they think. It is your life that you have put on hold for this joke of a process. Mail your MP and CEM again.

I request another update on my wife's permanent residence (PR) application. My wife's PR application has now been with CEM since November 19, 2012 (according to a letter received from Canadian Mission, Manila in May 2013). According to CIC, the normal processing time for Manila is 14 months. My wife's application has now exceeded 14 months. As a Canadian citizen and taxpayer, I am appalled by the lack of movement and communication by CIC, and more specifically, the Canadian Mission, Manila. None of my inquiries to the Canadian Mission, Manila, nor to CIC, have been answered or even acknowledged. Please be advised that until my wife receives her COPR, I will be requesting Mr. Rajotte's office do a weekly MP request.

I also plan on writing a formal letter of complaint to Mr.Rajotte and Chris Alexander, the Minister of Citizenship and Immigration, about the abysmal service I have paid for.

This is what I wrote to my MP today.
