Congrats ikon0523, just wanna know, did CEM contact you before or after the ecas changed to decision

in my case, CEM did not contact me for the DM, i did not received any emails. i am not frequently checking my ecas status, i did not even saw the change from application received, to in process to dm, i just checked it one day and its DM status already. they said that from DM it will take 1-2weeks for the visa to arrived, mine arrived the day after i saw it. so maybe, i had been DM for weeks already and did not checked it coz i am also waiting for an email, but they did not. so i suggest check ecas frequently.
I checked my ecas 1783 times and it never changed,,,,my wife had her visa b4 it ever changed from application received

Beginning to hate the Pinoy threads.. why can't everyone just be happy for people who have successfully finished their journey?

Don't let it get to you ikon, your journey is ending get ready to move on with your new life. You can't make everyone happy and as I keep telling my wife who cares what others think. You have done nothing wrong.

Mrs Cranberries.. we got dm this morning.. are u in Canada already.. by the way how do you like the snow storm and double digit coldness? thank you for that advice about emailing. My wife is completely shut off from communication from the embassy as she wants me to handle everything... (talk about living stress free while me the sponsor is going nuts)
ahha.. anyways..might fly her in here end of january

Hey Ikon! congratulations to you and your wife! I'm pretty sure you'll have the visa soon! I'm glad to have helped but looking at your time line, it's about time! you guys are almost in the finish line...yes I am already here in Canada since the 8th of this month. the winter?oh jeez! terrible! this is a white dessert.lol. the other night was -20 something and we just finished our Christmas shopping. I was dying. brrrrrrr. on the other hand, this country has ridiculously warm people! i never experienced this kind of customer service in my entire life. That's what I love about Canada:) I got to try NEW things too ;) hahaha. It's fun! the other day, husband and I went out to play in the snow, we had snowball fight. we were like kids again :)... Never mind the stress, it's all gonna be worth it, i tell you.

Regarding the ticket, you might want to try to look in philippine airlines website. i heard they have promos. My husband got my ticket for only $640 including tax and insurance. mnl-yvr-yyz, twas an 18 hour flight... tell your wife not to go crazy on clothes shopping and just to do it here when she arrives.even the socks i bought back home are not very helpful in keeping my toesies warm and still had to buy new ones... k, do your cleaning fast.lol.
