Seniors, help? How specific do I have to be when I fill up my customs declaration/B4 form? I think I'll take the time to write down all the serial numbers.

unless you are bringing in a train load, the form is simple,,,just declare the cigarettes and liquer and if you are over the prescribed amount of money (10,000),,,,,if you are bringing approximately 2-3 bags even new clothing does not need to be declared,,,,just don't bring the receipts,,,and don't check that you visited a pig farm recently

My visa is here!!! My mum woke me up at around ten. The delivery guy dropped off my package. To think that I called them yesterday at around ten and they said I didn't have anything from CEM.

Received email from MPs office stating:

"Please be advised that the applicant's medical results expired on 01 August 2013. Re-medical instructions were sent electronically today. The file is in queue for eligibility assessment by the Visa Officer.

They haven't requested the passport yet. Seems like some get PPR really early, and some quite late in the game. Makes it hard to get a feel for any standard procedure, and adjust our own expectations of how near or far we might be from the end of the process.

It's been more than 14 months now since original application submitted. My partner has appointment to do remed tomorrow, but oh this whole thing just sucks the life right out of us!

Wow, it took them 3 months to inform you of your remedicals! So much time wasted already.

try this forum, they have tons of info. I am landing Nov 30. I am almost done doing my B4 (still have to print colored for jewelries )

I put current value for Gold/jewelries - ( i asked the gold store, i lost all my receipts)
current estimated value for electronics (laptop,iphones) and other categories - I look at ebay

my subcategories (8 slots in B4 form)

example ONLY

1.Personal effect/belonging - total - 750CAD
Pants - 10pcs - 150
Tops - 20pcs - 200
shoes - 10pcs - 300
scark/hats/glove 10pcs 100

2.Jewelries Total - 3000CAD (INCLUDE PICTURE OF JEWELRIES, Certificate of Diamonds)
Bangles 2pcs -2000
Rings 2pcs 1000

3.Electonics and gadgets - 1,400CAD
Macbook - 800
ipad 600

4.Bags - Total -2000CAD
LV -3pcs 1,500
Gucci 1pcs 500

and so on and so forth. Then i will encode this Subcategory in the B4(8slots only) - afterwards print 2 sets of this Excel Sheet and the B4 for submission when i land.

no my wife didn't fill anything out like that or add up the value of her used clothes, no she took no pictures of her jewelry and didn't have them assessed,,,she wore them all,,,,maybe this form is for additional luggage coming later or by cargo

I will be flying from Middle East and I cannot posibly use them all at once , and i do not want to have prob with my bling bling ;D afterwards for any reason or no reason at all. So i am declaring all of them Legally in B4 as per the form guidelines with photo (my indian friends did it too). I am doing it as i said above esp pearl and gold pcs.

gcctocanada, I just booked my flight for Nov 22. OMG I'm so nervous I don't know what to pack now and leave for later... Thanks for the example! I can't carry all my purses and wear all my jewelry either (my mom gave me a few more pieces). Great idea with the sub categories.

Tagum, I thought they would ask for the form. It's good the officers didn't ask for them from your wife since she didn't have them.

OMG! I just noticed, the passport number on my visa is incorrect insted of 6 they put it (S). Guys, does CEM allow me to go there and ask or inform them to change?
