Lucky you Dan! ;) the looooooooong wait is over for you. Well, I'm waiting forever. Hopefully before November ends. ???

Its been a while since i have updated the folks here at Manila thread for english speakers..

but.. my wife finally has her passport request..
they requested that she fill an appendix a form, submit her passport and her RPRF which i took cared of this morning.

I value everyone's opinion in this thread as it is the most knowledgeable and well experienced as far as I know..

for the APPENDIX A FORM ( is it only my wife who has to fill the form is does it have to include her sister, mom and who ever lives with her)?

your response is most appreciated

Thanks everyone! Toughgirl, I hope you and/or your partner are bugging the hell out of your guys MP, I know how hard it is to see people who have applied after you receive their DM's and Visa while you sit and wait. Unless there is some big issue holding you guys back, there is no reason for it. Time to go and give 'em shit!

I just did send them another email. I'm sponsoring my illegitimate daughter. We did everything right, provided them all docs they requested. I even included papers from a judge for her custody papers, she's under my parent's custody since I moved here in Quebec. My application will hit the standard processing time this coming 11th. So I'm preparing for another effin email to be sent out. Giving them the benefit of the doubt, maybe since my daughter is a minor, they are more vigilant about it. I just hope i get some good news before snow starts here in Mtl. ;D

I hope you get good news soon as well, but don't be afraid to go to the MP's office and give them hell in person. Remember they work for you. And where you can be made by CIC/CEM to wait weeks for info, if you get any at all, they can get it in a couple of days. But you need to persistent, and follow up everytime you ask a question.

I'll do that Dan, thanks again. At first, I was hesitant to email or contact the MP's office but yeah you are right! I should start bugging them, maybe in person is better. lol ;D

Hey Scosan, very interesting. My partner did his medicals back in aug2012, and after hearing nothing from CEM for like 9 months, I emailed them last week to ask if partner needed to get remed, and just as in your case, he gets the same email not long after!

Did they forget about our files, and then when we email them they're like "oops! Oh yeah! Better get this applicant to do another medical cause theirs IS expired!"

Hi David, I think you might be right. What's even more interesting is this morning when I checked ecas, they status finally (FINALLY!!!) changed to "in process". I was actually planning to go to my MP's office this week but now my wife will redo her medical and hope for an early resolution.

That is the remed request.
They don't inform you that the initial one expired but instead they just ask you for a new medical exam.
That's the exact email my husband got after 2 months of his medical expiration.

Thanks Iay. I was 90% sure of this but was hoping someone might shed some light to be sure.

Just thought of sharing the email I got from the MP's office this morning:

Dear Ms. Iay,

Thank you for the information in your email below.

I noted in your file we last checked for an update on this file on October 10, 2013. At that time, Citizenship and Immigration advised me to check back in a few months’ time for an update. I understand that you are anxious to know what is happening to your husband’s file, however sometimes seeking information on a case that is still within the processing time (10 months within your processing time) can delay the case as it may have to be pulled from the queue to determine its status if the information is not available on electronic files.

In regards to the spreadsheet you attached, everyone’s applications are different, and therefore the processing times posted are just approximations. In addition, when I spoke to a Citizenship and Immigration agent last week they informed me they are still experiencing delays as they deal with the backlog that was created during the strike.

I believe at this time the best course of action would be to wait one more month while CIC assess your husband’s medical forms. As they were forwarded to the embassy on October 30th, they likely have not yet been reviewed by a CIC agent in that embassy, and therefore they may not have an update to report at this time.

I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Kind regards,

So they were just forwarded on Oct 30.. seems a little late but at least you have confirmation! I think they will release the Visa before December.

Yeah, took them almost couple of weeks to forward it. The results were released Oct 20th but not forwarded til the 30th.

I really hope this is not far from the finish line.
