Guys, I have a question.
When the clinic forwards the medical results to CEM, it is considered all done?
I mean is it interpreted and verified already? Or does it still go through a specific department in CEM for review?

Just wondering, coz my husband's remed result was forwarded on Oct. 30th. I dunno why it takes them so long (in general) to process Visa with applicants doing remedicals.

I think it does go to a department for review, their email address is

manil.mc-extmed @ international.gc.ca

I would recommend everyone who is waiting after their remed to follow up with these people at this address including the date and place you took the exam, and the date the results were emailed to CEM. In addition if you haven't followed up with your DMP as to when the results were actually emailed to CEM you should call them and get that info.. This is not necessarily meant for Iay as she did that, just a suggestion for all

its not a secret.. I've posted it all over the forum at some point or another. Moose got that email from his DMP and was told to follow up with them directly. It's not like they ever replied but its worth a shot.

Congratulations! You are an October 2012 applicant, if I am not mistaken

I see that CEM probably (still) look at the application date to give priority to people who had their apps submitted first and won't delay it after the remedical has been forwarded to them.

Quick Q: did you do any follow-up after the remedical?

Thanks! No, I resisted doing a follow-up. I emailed them in Sept a couple of times when the medicals expired and we didn't get a re-med request. Didn't want to pester them again.

I'm actually trying to keep my hopes low so I won't get disappointed. I'd be happy enough if he gets the Visa before our one year mark of application. But of course, sooner that that would be really awesome!!

They usually always call first,,,in my wifes case the Tagum DHL office called b4 they picked up the package at the Davao airport,,,she had to wait 4 long hours for it to get to the tagum office

I think your expectations are a little high for CEM,,,,there are still applicants from last year waiting for PPR,,,,,,,,You will probably get it through EMAIL,,,,thats seems to be the way of all communications from CEM now,,,,,Goodluck,,,I do hope you get it sooner than later,,,,you should check out the spreadsheets to see the average times receiving PPR,,,,,maybe someone could send the link to the spreadsheet here I found it......... http://tinyurl.com/mqn3qjd

CEM has started asking for May applicant passports...Ive read that in a few threads..we're April applicants and just got ours last week.They've been making April app PPRs throughout October....and just to confirm everything we've gotten from them including an address change confirmation has been via emails..

Stay tuned....yours is coming...probably December...DO take a look at the spreadsheets Tagum has suggested...you can follow along and calculate roughly your timelines..give or take...

Hi Again, (September 12 applicant)

I'm confused. I received an email with the following:

These medical instructions are being issued since your application has been processed to the stage
where medical examination results are now required. Please read these instructions carefully.

It says nothing about being a remed! Is this normal?

The original medicals were done on Sept 7, 2012 and I emailed CEM last Sunday asking if we needed a remed. No response and now this email shows up. Maybe their subtle way of asking for another medical? This letter doesn't even acknowledge the fact that medicals were already done. Some people seem to be getting extensions on their original meds.

Should I try contacting them again or is it pointless? We don't want to have to go through this again but I don't want to delay my wife's application any longer.

Always appreciate the advice!
