I just received this email from a EPSB - Director.

"Good Morning,

The principal of your neighbourhood school will be able to assist you when you arrive. Do you have an address that you will be living at? Typically, the children will continue with the current grade they are enrolled in at the start of the year. You will need the children's PR cards and proof of address at the time of registration.

Sincerely,"

with this in mind, we decided to land earlier. So Edmonton it is in the end of November, first me direct from Bahrain. then my husband will go home (Phil) then take them with him MNL-CA end of the year.

THanks for the answer too. regards

. . . The only good news is my one daughters Canadian Citizenship is now done. Just working on the final approval for the wife, which they said she is approved, and eldest daughter which is the cause of all our problems.

Christmas is looking bleak at this point :(
That's rare news to see here. May we ask what the timeline was for your daughter's citizenship that is now done? Was it applied for from PR, or a 'proof of Citizenship' thing?

Hi everyone,

Above is our timeline (how do we include it at the left as part of my profile?)

I'm sponsoring my Korean partner under common law status. We lived together when I was teaching in Korea. Our application status still says "application received" and it's been over 14 months, and it's so hard to see so many that applied way after us receiving their passport requests and PPR and our situation hasn't progressed at all.

Submitted application for GCMS notes today.

Anyone have any advice as to what to do next? Contact my MP?

Thanks!

David

I believe you need ten posts first, then some new areas will open up in your profile where you will be able to enter that info if you wish.

I hear ya Dan. My file is back in Mississauga right now. We had to do some new paperwork which was a huge pain in the a__! No one, including my lawyer, knew how to fill it out. Our latest is they will forward the new form to CEM as soon as they open it....that takes anywhere from 2 - 6 weeks! Everything else is done, including the new medical. I didn't wait for them to request a redo, I had her go in and just do it. The medical expired Aug 22 and still no request. The only good news is my one daughters Canadian Citizenship is now done. Just working on the final approval for the wife, which they said she is approved, and eldest daughter which is the cause of all our problems.

Christmas is looking bleak at this point :(

My partner did his medical Aug 1, 2012. And no request for a new medical. In his application status online it says "medical received". Does that mean it has been attributed to his application already, and a new one isn't needed?

OR

...should I do like you auditt, and have him go do a new one and just send it in even though it hasn't been requested yet?

I WISH I had been tapped into this thread months ago! So helpful!

For GCMS notes, if I request them with just my UCI as the sponsor, will the notes I get contain all the info for our application being processed at ECM? Or do I need to include his consent in my GCMS request?

Thanks in advance!

Hi David, Welcome..

Looking at your timeline I would do the following..

1) order your gcms notes: there is a link to a video at the end of this message. This will take up to 30 days to get the info.
2) While you are waiting for the notes I would email CEM. find out if you need a remedical and or what the hell is going on. You are now outside the processing timeline (it was 12 months or less at the time you applied)
3) Contact your MP.. go to there local office and get information to them. Tell them you are now outside processing times (it was 12 months or less at the time you applied) and you want to know what is going on.

As CJG would say .. time to knock some heads.

Thanks a lot GoonerClank!

Appreciate the advice. Messaged CEM today. Hopefully it will warrant a response this time seeing as how we re beyond even the 14 months, and going into the MPs office as well, bringing them a timeline. Hopefully we get some sense of what the hold up is.

Hey guys! No new updates for me, boo. My husband ordered another set of GCMS notes earlier this week.

I have a question, how do you find out the bring forward date or due date or something? In my notes, under Application Assignment there's a due date written there, 2013/9/17. Is that the one?
