hopefully you have his fathers name on his birth certificate,,,,you have proof his father was with you at conception,(airline tickets to and from phils 9 months b4 birth) should be sufficient,,,,,, unless they asked specifically for DNA,,,,you will eventually be asked by CEM to get him a passport at manila embassy in RCBC building

Yey! Thanks for the reply. :) I have his father's name on his birth certificate, and everything from airline tickets, picture, etc. He also has a Philippine passport, which I already submitted to CEM upon my passport request. He is under 2 yrs. old. Do you think he is still eligible for a limited validity passport? I so appreciate your reply.

my son was 9 months old and we got a 1 year temporary passport from the Canadian embassy,,,,he will not be an immigrant but come to Canada as a Canadian citizen,,,if he comes only with the Philippine passport he would be determined a immigrant,,,so I believe you didn't put him down on the app to immigrant but just come as a Canadian citizen,,,,if that's the case CEM will notify you to get his Canadian passport from manila.

Oh, I see! So, a temporary passport from the Canadian Embassy is much better? Well, hopefully my lil guy can still attain such passport. Yey! One more thing, how long did it take for them to contact you to get your son's temporary passport from their office? Did you filed your son's proof of citizenship first, then just showed proof to CEM that you did? :) Thanks again in advance! You are such a big help, Sir/Ma'am!

Thanks GoonerClank! Saves me the trouble of renewing it and waiting again for it. Much appreciated. :)

Yes plus I believe your passport number will change too. It does here in Canada when you renew your passport.

when he was born,,,my son was part of our relationship proof,,,,for conjugal relationship,,,,,,during ppr for my spouse they stated to go to manila and order a Canadian passport for the baby,,,,,we took the passport pics and application,,,,we didn't pick it up until we had the visa for her
