Federal and Provincial what?

Yeah, now there's a big to-do list isn't there 8)

Probably SIN card, health care card... etc... I have been making a list of this stuff too. Plus adding her to all the bills (electric, cable) as these are useful to show she has been her for a while and living at the residence.

Yup.

I may not add her to the bills. Seems unnecessary. Certainly the house title in the event I do not survive my next dog attack.

I find it funny that for all the things I have already updated the first piece of mail to arrive with both our names on it was my pension statement. LOL.

Would anyone know?? My hubby's medical test result will be expiring first week of Aug and NBI clearance is also expiring first week of Sept. Will they release his Visa prior to the expiration date or he will need to do another medical testing or get another NBI clearance again? On ecas it states that "medical results have been received".

can someone that went through something similar, please advise.

thank you kindly

My experience was this:

Ecas will recognize that they have received medicals until they expire. Then that will disappear from your Ecas. If you have not got a PPR within a few weeks before his med expires they will request another afterward. You have to land prior to the medicals expiring so if there is no way the visa can be issued before the applicant can land then they will wait until it expires and make you do it again.

Also, I noticed if meds are expiring and the Embassy wanted to rush your visa before that, is seems like 2 months before med expiry they will be asking for PPR and a flight ticket.

thank you Steph C and CanadianJeepGuy.....

- most cases though... do they let ask for a repeat medical or they will release his visa?

Hard to be completely sure. I would just expect and plan for that situation. You will have a better idea by the end of May.

Just made the mistake of checking the spreadsheet. There is one of my fellow Winnipeggers who's spouse will land May 13th 2013. Total 5 months for the whole process.

What a joke.

I saw that myself, and agree 100%, nothing against the person and their application, but WTF is that all about when CIC can get one done so quickly, and other languish for over a year? Nice to know we have a zero equity plan :)

hi, I'm being sponsored by my husband who happens to be Canadian citizen by birth. My husband submitted all the sponsorship document on the middle of this April 2013. On the application I was asked for my current working status. I put on there that I'm currently working in a call center here in the Philippines. The problem is, I'm planning to quit work this June, will that create a problem for our application? Do we need to inform the Canadian embassy for my plan on quitting my work and should I decide to get another job, do I need to inform them as well again? please help.
