Thought that Cenomar thing was for people who were never married. Thanks for the reply Steph. I am thinking I either need to spend more time reading these forums so I can anticipate the problems or less time reading so I don't make myself go Bonkers! :-\

It's not a Cenomar, it's an Advisory on Marriage -- the opposite :D it's the NSO's version of a marriage certificate. If you ordered a Cenomar that's what you would get if you're married.

I sent the marriage certificate. Didn't realize that there are multiple marriage certificate thingy's. :P I guess it is my own fault for assuming.

Where was your marriage certificate from? Probably not the NSO with the official NSO stamp and label.

It was from the NSO and on NSO paper.
Oh my bad, I thought it came from the LCR where you performed the ceremony. I'm lost now

AOM and Marriage Certificate are different and you get these two at NSO. As Steph said you will get an AOM (but with cenomar form to fill-up) if you're married.

you need to submit the marriage certificate in nso paper plus they will ask for the cenomar ( advisory on marriages ) when they ask the ppr...

I sent CENOMAR that we got before we got married.
The checklist said CENOMAR or AOM. So we thought, CENOMAR should be ok.
Anyway, Steph was right, they will just request all the additional docs they need during the PPR :)

I am that paranoid too, and to warn you, this thread will make you more paranoid :D Esp when I read people's apps that weighed 12kgs, and mine was a little tiny 1kg parcel ;D

So do they request AOM for all? And if so, why don't they write it in the guide?

I realize now that they are different. I got the certificate of marriage from the NSO but neglected to get the AOM from the NSO. I have asked my wife to request it now so that we will at least have it ready for when they inevitably request it from us.

The one you got from LCR is the original Marriage Certificate but LCR registered this at NSO. Before (a decade or more) we could just use the Marriage Certificate from LCR but now we have to present the one from NSO. ( So that government can generate income. :P)

Oh okay never mind ::) I feel like my brain will explode now

AOM is requested in the guide but the wife had me convinced that it was cenomar and we don't need it because we are already married.

My application was a bursting 1 kg. 8)
