I wouldn't hold out much hope for an extension. It is just too good an opportunity to delay processing applications. Remember the "ball is in your court" tactic. As long as they can claim that it is YOU who are delaying things they will do it.

I just wish that while they are scanning for apps with meds about to expire that they could fire off a quick IMM1017 to those of us who's meds HAVE expired so we can get things moving. But of course that can wait till they get around to us...

does anyone know of panel physician in philippines that's eMedical enabled?
we want to get cfo seminar at the same time...2 birds with one stone....that way it doesn't feel like so much of a fee rape.

On a side note....you don't think they would ask for re-med if they were doubting the application do you?
I mean, wouldn't this essentially be an interview waived type scenario?

It feels like they just want re-med, then they'll ppr, then visa....thoughts?

Hi again...is your wife under 25...if so then she has to have a marriage seminar before the CEM will give you a PPR....

your the first remed ive seen without ppr, maybe they started sending out remeds to all that have expired

Luckyman! I can't believe they requested medical before Passport. I think it means a sure and quick approval.. and maybe the PPR section of CEM is working to rule. Is she near to St Luke's? That's the one I heard of lately taking only a month.

There is a seminar for Filipinos who marry foreigners so they are aware that they are not being used as human cargo or something like that. My wife was over 30 so she didn't have to take it.

Yes but you don't need it to have a PPR.. you need it to depart. Human cargo.. not unless your wife will be a postie too

Yes but they do run more extensive background checks with NBI before they issue the visa. It's more in depth then the original NBI clearance. I think they will only request it again if there was an inconsistency, like wrong spelling of a name that someone mentioned yesterday.

Thanks Steph....St. Luke's list 3 Panel Physician offices....but she''ll need to fly either there or Lancha to Cebu.
She'll be calling around to judge wait times and hopefully sync up close to a day the GCS seminar is available at CFO.

I tend to agree that it should mean speedy processing, and I'd really hate to see any further "evidence" requests as why would they ask us to spend money if they were doubting anyway?

Anyway....If anyone has any advise, please chime in...Thanks!!

Nooooooooooo waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy. One postie is the family is enough. I have had reoccurring nightmares that she becomes my supervisor......not a pleasant dream.

I think she will stay in engineering. She can do her Canadian exams from there so it will help speed up here employment at this end.

I work in multi discipline engineering firm in Edmonton....We could give her a job.
