Yeah, I've been in touch with my MP's office and they've gotten the same response from the embassy ... that it's in line. I'm totally going nuts.

After we submitted the application, the Seoul embassy requested a criminal record check from the RCMP. That took something like 4 months. Then RIGHT exactly when the immigration and visa service in the Seoul embassy was being closed down was when the CRC from the RCMP arrived at the Seoul embassy and I had to go to the Seoul embassy and pick it up and send it to Manila.

The MP's office has sent emails, I've sent emails ... nadda except for that it's in a queue to be reviewed.

Contact your MP and state your wish to lodge a formal complaint. This will be added to your case file and could escalate action to get your file completed. I know that it helped get my application moving.

it sounds like you already got sponsorship approval,,,,,,,if they asked for rcmp chrck,,,,if you have a ecas #

Does anyone have any tips on getting the CIC Manila to work faster? Should I send them some red bull?

No you should get an email if you checked the notify by email box on the application (if i remember correctly), otherwise they would mail you a letter in snail mail. Might want to double check that you didn't spell it wrong i know a few members had that issue.

They've communicated with me through email before (at least the Seoul embassy did) for AOR and additional documents. But I was told the same thing by my MP's office: if Manila has started processing, then SA has gone through. So, why not correspondence to say SA was done?

Do you have a UCI or File number? If not i'd ask your MP to get that for you so you can check e-cas

Yeah, we have a file number and can get e-cas but it only shows the date that the file was received, the date that the process was started and that the medical has been received. Fini.

Well that is all mine has shown since I got my SA, after talking to the MP's office today, there is apparently someone "working one the back ground checks", otherwise that is as much of an update as I have managed so far. So I would say you are just about right compared to my, and others experiences on here.

I suppose the worry and concern could be all for not. The only thing then is that we haven't gotten SA. I haven't received anything by email nor has my Mrs. It's good to know though that my e-cas isn't unusual and is along the same lines as someone else.

ecas never went to in progress or decision made and still hasn't changed from application received... don't count on it too much

What an experience immigration,,,no one will belivieve you that a system is so fooked up,,,,,and a system that makes the applicants and sponsors feel like dirt,,,,all we did is fall in love and want to live with our better halfs like everyone else

We haven't even gotten a request for the passport yet.

Looking at e-cas is like reading the same page in a book over and over again trying to find something in the story that you think you might have missed.
