So that helps if you are from a more affluent family. Of course you are screwed if you aren't (which do you suppose is the larger group?).

And the 18 year old limit will really mess with a lot of lower income PRs and especially LCP people wanting to bring their children. They should have something along the lines of "18 at the time of application" or "18 at the time of listing as a dependent on a PR app".

i believe if your trying to bring your spouse here any child ove age of 16 at time of application should not be allowed, i have experience on this, this child will be an adult in the phils by the time you get the visa, im just using an age it has to be cut off somewhere THINK ABOUT IT ARE YOU IN LOVE WITH THIER OLDER CHILDREN NAAAAAAW, THE YOUNGER ONES THERE IS A BOND, AND IF SHE/HE CANT BEAR TO SPLIT FROM THAT CHILD/ADULT (STAY IN THE PHILS) WHO IS MORE IMPORTANT YOUR ADULT CHILD OR YOUR NEW SPOUSE

This is borderline criminal to me. I agree with Steph that you should be able to sponsor your children at any age and your parents can get a supervisa. That makes the most sense and is the most fair for everyone.

Jerking around with qualification requirements is just like the introduction of new tax deductions this year that affect maybe 2% of the population. Their action plan is more like a suction plan.

GOD DUM I HAVE TO ANSWER MY OWN POST, well i never planned to bring a 2nd, mostly i was going to thephils to get away from my problemshere, in the phils was the last place i felt so good, (with getting kicked in the balls) i cant help that i ended up falling so deeply in love with another filipina, i went for the fun, wow this feeling for her how could i ever show another filipina to my children and friends, they are disgusted by filipinos for what was done to me, ive only told a small percentage of the financial debt and emotional trauma. you must remember there is 2 sides to every story, somewhere in the middle or to one side is the truth, my children think all filipinas are just out for the money, to hook a foreigner. What about the men going to the phils just to collect thier cherries, how do these young filipinas feel being left behind, i know a lot of true stories and i am friends with some of these women, met these men on planes bragging thier BOAST. In fact going to meet my 2nd i was probably thinking of becoming one of them

I understand why a PR has a faster timeline, there is a lot less break ups in the end, most of them had a true relationship b4 the new found wealth. Too all of you who are bringing back (mail order brides) spouses foreign to you, some of you i know, i think how strong is thier relationship, i had that powerfull relationship and now i know my eyes were wide shut (mail order hubbies) for you steph
