Woke up to "DECISION MADE" this morning. ECAS status actually changed some time on "Saturday" Philippine time. Woo-hoo!!

Congrats Truesmile. Eight months is long enough I would say.
Did your ECAS ever change to "In Process" before it went to "Descision Made"?

First I want to say congratulations to you truesmile, .. and second I want to say thanks for posting this cause I just checked my wife's CAS and found sometime over the past few hours her home address has changed from Antipolo to Fergus Ontario!! I have to assume that's all good, and can't even begin to say how I feel right now. :D I just wonder how long it will be before her package arrives.

That's great news!!! :-) my address changed to "Vancouver, BC, Canada" first, and 8h later to Decision Made - so it's the end for you, that's great! Canada now considers that your wife's home is Canada, best news! ecas should change into decision made pretty soon, and from what I understand ( and from my own experience), ecas is updated to decision made + address change the day they send the documents by post - at least that was my case... it didn't go in process or anything like this - from application received to "decision made", with the new home address showing up 8h before Decision made... when I received the COPR in the mail (I'm visa-exempt), it was issued on the 5th of November, and posted the 8th of November ( and ecas changed on the 8th as well).
Time for packing! ( but from your previous posts, I remember that your wife is ready to leave at any point!).

Wow, that's great news! What a long wait for you two. Now to complete her CFO seminars and she's good to go!

Thanks for the info Sweden. I'm assuming it will be pretty quick for us now because she is packed and ready to go, and has been for a long time. It left her living conditions pretty uncomfortable but she's still kept in pretty good spirits thought he wait's been longer than we could have imagined. I did notice it didn't say decision made but knew one has been by the change of address. I've got to say I've never been so excited and happy about any news in my life, as I was when I checked the CAS a short time ago. :)

Thanks Steph C. She had the seminar a long time ago and has the document she's going to need to show she's done it, .. so now once she gets her package and gives me the word I'm booking more vacation and getting her flight booked too. 8)

Give it a few hours and it will show decision made most likely... when my address changed, it was midnight (I'm in BC), and I was about to go to bed, I was so excited I could not sleep!! and I so badly wanted to see DM before going to bed, I kept on refreshing ecas, and login again and again! :-) then decided that it was no point... my partner was half asleep and he didn't really realize what was going on ( and he also didn't want to get excited and disappointed later on...), so I couldn't just jump around... went to bed, and woke up 7h later to "DM" on ecas.. :-)
You've been waiting for a really long time, I'm glad it's finally coming to an end, and a well deserved holiday is certainly a great way to start the year! :-)

Thanks again Sweden. I'll have to keep an eye on that. Sent my wife and IM to let her know but I kept her up too late and she must be in a deep sleep now. It's probably just as well because I am pretty sure she wouldn't be sleeping tonight. She's going to be so excited in the morning when she gets up and checks for herself though. It's been a long road, ... and I haven't touched her for almost 21 months so what a reunion we're going to have!! ;)

It looks as if things are moving well for you now. Great news.
My wife is from Antipolo as well. Fergus is a great little place. I loved the Fall Fair there. She will love it.

ECAS still remains unchanged for me. Just says they received her application May 10th and they received her medical. Been that way since the sponsorship approval.

Thanks CanadianJeepGuy,
Antipolo's a great place and has so much to see in the rural areas around it. Some of the restaurants from up there have a great view as you look out over metro Manila, .. especially late night when you see all the city lights below. It's one of the places I'd consider buying or building after retirement. :)
As for Fergus it's a nice little town, and I look forward to us going to the annual truck show, highland games and fall fair together. We're also not far from Guelph which from what i hear has a nice Filipino community.
I'm telling you just seeing her home address change has lifted such a weight from me, and I know when she wakes up she's going to be all smiles, .. well and tears of joy too. :)

Oh yes, we noticed it on Nov. 24th and behind the 'In Process' link it said Nov. 15th, and yet that was weeks even before the PPR email on Dec. 5th. So it seems ours went backwards as compared with the norm.

I hope yours zips through quick and without any hitches. It sucks (as you well know) waiting and wondering. Ours was a little complicated since my wife at one time had to send to the US for an FBI check, and her son who's in college in Manila is also part of our package. I hear that an extra person on the whole thing is also a slow down.
Another guy from work with a much simpler set of documents slipped through in 8 months start to finish though, .. which I have to admit wasn't good for my mood after our very long wait.
Today all feels well and I hope things go faster for you. :)
