June 6, MNL-YVR is $640, and about 16 hours flight. They have ones for $614 but with an 11 hour layover in Seoul.

You don't want your wife to go to Seoul airport for a 11 hours layover. They have tons of designer stores in there. If my wife went to that airport I think she would never leave. :)

Hey did you guys see this thread?

http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/news-cic-reopening-parent-grandparent-sponsorship-jan-2014-t147878.0.html

They're re-opening parent and grandparent sponsorship, and lowering the age of dependent children to 18.

yeah I saw that too... Only limiting to 5,000 new apps in 2014. So instead of hiring more officers to get rid of backlog they limit the number of apps.

Saw this but never read it. By lowering the age of dependant children they really fook with the family dynamic. What if the child turns 19 while they are waiting the 5 years to process the application?

Yes, a good price! If I got that we would save about $200 compared to PAL. I'm a bit chicken to buy so early though.

Neither of those sites worked for me. I go through a Filipino travel agency here that seems to have some good prices.

Well at least the kid won't have a whole family by then :D

However, this f000ks with us a bit.. now we have to worry about sponsoring his eldest within 5 years as opposed to 9 years which seemed more reasonable for us.

Take a print out of the price on line and you, can get it at that price. Steph's price for 632 on the 6th is really and there are others in June too at that price.

I feel like I have to edit this... it's sooo Stoopid that you can sponsor a Grandparent but not a kid over the age of 18. IMO, any child should be eligible and way more so then Grandparents. They should do away with grandparent sponsoring and allow children of any age to be sponsored. Let the Grandparents have a super visa and the kids can become PR's.
