Good Morning Maniloids! What a week last week.. Doljan landed, Luckyman, Gortandmugs, Jarry96 and Jeep Guy all got PPR's or In Process! Poor Fireluck, the longest patiently suffering Aprilcant, finally got PPR and re-med request for her husband. Her baby, who never met his dad, is having a first birthday soon! Maybe he will be in Canada soon to meet his son and celebrate! What a week... nearly all of our regular posters got a goodie Except for Dan From Surrey - Rooster says you're due!! (Actually he said "Yer Duuuuuuuuuuue!... Scos tooooooooo!") In that order

On Sunday we decided to fly to Manila and go to the embassy. I was not allowed to go up but my partner went up and they took the printout of the letter and his NBI clearance with an AKA for the misspelled version of his name. At first the officer doubted they could take an AKA (he suggested they would need a completely separate NBI clearance in the misspelled version and told my partner to sit back down while he checked into it. They kept him in stressful suspense for 10 minutes. But when the officer recalled his name he simply said come back at 3PM to get your visa!

That will be 3PM today, Monday. It is now noon here in Manila. So I guess while we are here it would be logical to attend the CFO fun seminar tomorrow. They only offer it on Tuesdays and Fridays for Canada visa applicants.

Since then I was so ready to wait for like 4-6 months to receive any response or see a change in e-Cas. However, the e-Cas status was updated to "In process" last week and they say they "started processing the application on Apr 22".

Is this common? I was surprised as I was not expecting any change or whatsoever after 2 months of sponsor approval.

Is this a good sign or nothing special?

I'm glad to hear that!! That'd be really great!!
But I was looking at the Manila spreadsheet and found that usually, "In process" update happens after ppr but i haven't recieved anything. And, I still could get requestd additional docs right? :O

My medical will expire in middle of July!

That was the usual trend. Getting PPR first then ECAS will go "in-process".
Last week, some members surprisingly got "in-process" without getting a PPR.

I believe it is still possible to get requested for additional docs. However, if there are no major docs that they need, like just AOM, NBI, and passport photo, it will just come with your PPR and you submit them together.

Hopefully it will go smoothly from there
