I've been torturing my guy with fresh Salmon on the web cam for 3 years now! Poor man :'( I have even been religiously saving all the heads and bellies for him in the freezer. What a nice present for him when he gets here

I see there are 3 passport requests today with sponsor approvals of Nov 5th, Dec 4, and Jan 10th. The Dec 4th mentioned that his medical expire in July.

the CEM sure are not working the way the applications are coming in ...How the hell can Nov, Dec, Jan get PPR,s before July and Aug, Sept... I bet our apps are open and they just look at the when the meds expire....

Apparently they are not even doing that. The person with the Dec sponsor approval has meds expiring in July. I have a July application (Oct sponsor approval) with meds expiring in July.

I don't think they care when the medicals expire. They just send you a letter to have them redone. No skin off their nose.

I have a feeling that most folks do their own applications. Those that get a consultant to do it get fast tracked. That is the only way I can see someone jumping the queue.

I've read several accounts of consultants actually slowing things down....and also providing erroneous information.

If neither the above happens and they are actually knowledgeable on the process, then they only ensure document completeness, and that enough and/or quality evidence is provided.

So, my opinion on the application is that its eeeeeasy!

So i think the only was using a consultant can fast track is just by being a complete application, if some that do it on their own don't have forms, docs, evidence, etc.

On another note....I'd sure be interested to know how many of those on the spreadsheet that have had "Additional docs requested/interview" are actually re-medicals for the purpose of comparative analysis.

Did you see my theory on the Manila thread? I went through them all.. I had to look up each user's profile to see their posts, if it was a re-med or not. Anyways, the data says that In Process only comes After additional documents/ Interview requested (unless that document is a Re Med in which case it would come after In Process)

I would agree with you there but add that when a visa officer sees and application envelope with a return address to a consultant then they know the application will be complete.

There is nothing particularly difficult about the application. As long as you have documentation that supports the info in the application then it shouldn't take more than a few hours to process it. Filling out all the info in all the application took my wife and I less than an hour. Getting the supporting documents is what takes the time.

So what does that mean if you get a remed before anything else? Does that mean there are other documents still pending to be requested?
