I got the GCMS notes today and it is what I feared. I actually ought to meet the eligibility just fine. The agent has noted that my CRS attained is above the cut off. But like an idiot, when applying, I picked a primary NOC code different from the one corresponding to my 1 year continuous work experience. Luckily I sent a follow up LOE explaining exactly this almost a month ago now, to which I received the standard 'in queue for review by officer' response. My question is at this point: would they ever even consider this change? Or is it time to face the music and withdraw/reapply? It seems like I'm stuck over a technicality and they never even had an issue with my reference letters. My EE eligibility is effectively solid.. it's the FSW eligibility that got messed up with a wrong NOC code

I've been advised to hang tight and that the senior officer will likely accept this update and I hope this happens but I also noticed another thing in the notes under "Finalize Application"..
Document issuance: 0
Refusal Grounds: 0

Does this mean my application is stuck in some weird crack where they don't need anything from me (which is what they say when I call) and they won't even refuse me?

Please help!

Hello, it is first time to post in this forum , I’m in the same situation sir, my eligibility has been under review required since Dec.18 th !! A11.2 marked not met ( hopefully not yet met ) due to mismatch between NOC & provided job duties. I found out about that on Jan. 28th when I received my 1st GCMS notes & on the very next day I managed to get an updated employment letter & raised a CSE webform with the new letter & a letter of explanation for the reasons of mischoice of the primary NOC, I provided the precise NOCs this time & asked for the work experience assessment to be done based on them. No response till now , just received my second notes , they only added the documents I provided after application submission but eligibility status is still the same.

Your situation can’t be worse than mine especially that my application is assigned to the infamous CB01126( Sydney , NS office) & to add to the complexity I am preparing to add my newborn son to the application which will make the process even longer, I feel I’m gonna wait forever, yet I still think that there is a possibility we are gonna make it, what we have done isn’t a crime after all or a misrepresentation, it is a mistake though it is a big one , yet I think they are used to it & they have faced it with other applications before , we just need our files to be picked by a considerate officer, let’s hope for that.

Quote from your post: refusal grounds:0 means your application hasn’t yet been rejected which means that the final decision is still to be made so currently no PPR & still no refusal as well.

I hope my words could be of some condolences to you. Good luck to both of us

i'm surprised you were able to submit an application at all. I've read before that even after ITA, when someone changed his NOC code to one that he did not have 1 year experience in, he became ineligible and he was automatically locked out of the account.

Why sursprised??? We are talking about an inadvertent mistake , what you mentioned is probably a misrepresentation or even the officer after assessing the fellow’s work experience found that it isn’t even satisfying the new NOC code so he rejected the file, it is different in our cases we got confused as some work experiences can match more than one NOC & that’s my case but unfortunately I picked the wrong one , I sent documents proactively to rectify this error but how will the officer react is still to be seen

Don’t be harsh we are already tortured by waiting & remorse

you completely misunderstood me. i said i was surprised he was able to "SUBMIT" an application.

you are talking about misrepresentation and officer assessments and whatever - that happens AFTER submission, not before. I was talking about an entirely different stage than what you mistakenly assumed.

Sorry bro but your reply came with quoting my post so I believe you were talking to me & what we are discussing here is related to after submission phase , I.e.: NOC codes provided before ITA & post e-apr were the same with no change so there is nothing wrong here with submitting an application but after submission, we found through GCMS notes that they were inconsistent with job duties & here came the problem.

Ah apologies, you're right I quoted you by accident. I meant to quote OP.

Hopefully since you have done all the required documents to fix your situation - I believe eventually your file will be approved. Best of luck

Yeah I made the change last minute before final submission of the application thinking that the original NOC code would be an issue... How I wish I never had this bs idea

It is best to wait and watch I say since the information you provided only helps make your application more accurate and (as you put it) was due to a confusion between two similar nocs

Yes but the uncertainty is killing me.. And I can't wait indefinitely. At some point, I should draw the line, withdraw and reapply I think.. Feels like I've fallen precisely into some crack in the system

Well , our files have to be reopened at some point , we just don’t know when & as time goes by uncertainty gets on my nerves as well ,sometimes as time passes by with no movement , I freak out , I keep thinking that I touched the bottom of hell as the file is being processed in the slowest office with the slowest officer ever, the status of the file is worrisome & I’m not sure if the eligibility issue will be resolved or not & on top of that we are in the middle of a massive backlog of applications & even people with eligibility met are being stalled for no clear reason. I have other personal reasons that add to my anxiety but unfortunately I have to wait & hope that this agony would pay off later

Updating the thread for the record here (and for any future members with similar issues that are reading this)! @Mom of 2 boys your words are what prevented me from withdrawing during those dark times.. thank you again! :) I'm so glad we're both past the eligibility-not-met hurdle (with eligibility now passed) and just waiting for PPR!
