dear members you have not posted comments on this post, it means you are not familiar the side effects of these to proposed changes.
1- thousands of applications which already submitted will be returned
2- most of LVO applicants will be effected because most of NDVO applicants have got the visas.
How did you come to this conclusion? Yes I agree it means some NOC's will have priority on others and will be processed quicker but no where it mean that thousands of applications will be returned and these changes are only proposed and not in effect .

Hi,

could you please add me in the xl sheet. here is my timeline..

Category: FSW1
NOC: 6242

PER: 24th March 2012

according to the following statement if new point system (coming soon ) will be implemented on already applied applications then thousands of applications may be returned.

A similar change would allow new regulations, once approved, to apply retrospectively to people who have already submitted an application. These changes would help ensure that immigrants are chosen based on Canada's current needs and priorities.

I think you totally misunderstood the statement yes they will pick immigrants on priority base but no where they have mention that new point system coming up will be implemented on applications already submitted. It simply mean that they will pick immigrants on priority base some NOC'S will have priority over others to be processed quicker . Sooner or later your application will be processed according to the point system you have applied in.

Guys chill out, who ever is IN PROCESS, is eligible to be processed according to ministerial instructions, only some of the applicants will be given priority to answer labour markets needs, 29 eligible occupations are already in demand professions, please don not be depressed by some one who understood or mistook the essence of the 17 th April news feed in cic

Industrial electricians are high in demand in Canada, u just have to get certification as soon u land there to start working, don't worry u will be picked very soon

i take my word back You are right I just read the whole speech new rules are going to apply on old applicants also it is so frickin unfair.

Look at the bright side, u would score more marks for ielts and age, even if new regulation apply on us

Hello fellow victims of LVO's unexplainably slow processing speed.

You can all take heart from the fact that amongst all MI-3 LVO applicants, I am likely to be the person who has now clocked in the most number of days waiting for my MR.

Here is my info:

FSW1
NOC: 1122
Application sent on: 01/07/2011
Application recd on: 05/07/2011
Processing fee encashed: 22/07/2011
PER: 08/09/2011
Received by Visa Office: 08/10/2011
Days spent waiting for MR (since RBVO): 190 Days
Ecas Status: In-Process

Address vanished from ECAS on 27/01/2012 and never reappeared.

Good luck to all and I strongly support a seperate sheet for LVO applicants.

Hi All,

I too am among the oldest ones waiting. File reached CIO 06/07/11, got PER 21/09/2011, Reached LVO first weeks of October but missed RBVO status on Ecas & when I finally logged in status was already IN PROCESS and has been ever since. Address has disappeared and come back a couple of times but has now been gone completely for the last couple of months. No line added to the IN PROCESS status besides the ones you get when you get PER. NOC is for Chef Category (not sure of number). Hope to get news soon.

Dear Mr. Engineer and other friends on the group,
As i told you before, i got my PER on 5th Jan.2012, i applied as FSW2, with AEO, when i sent my documents to CIC to sydney, the IELTS result was encluded as isued on 26/06/2010 and it's valid for two years upto 26/06/2012.
Do you think i will need to submit another Ielts or the one hich submitted with the documents will be enough till end of the process?

Thank you,
Hussain Arefi

No. you don't have to. Normally they don't requested. Good luck for speedy process.
