Hi Mikki,Miki27 said:Hi everyone!
I need some help again from all people based in the UK:
How did you get your bankers draft? I have two options: NatWest or HSBC. The only problem is, with HSBC I do not know how to order it (can't find any information online) and with NatWest I am not sure whether they have a clearing bank in Canada.
Any help would be much appreciated!
I too have been trying to find info online but there is nothing....I used Natwest for the application fees and had no problem with it but took about a week though (cause they have to order it. I suppose this got something to do with the clearing bank, I think they order it form a bank in canada or something like that to get it done canadian dollars.
What I am going to do first thing tomorrow is go to every single bank here and ask about a draft and a banker's cheque (to see if there is any difference in what there are and in time). I will also ask about the clearing bank but since I don't want to confuse them I will ask them first if they know how the people in canada are suppose to encash the draft (I suppose the "clearing bank" should appear in the conversation). I read somewhere mention to partner bank in the country of where the currency is for, so that may be of use as well.
I let you know how I got on...
