If you have used email. you will not get auto reply (confirmation). But if you have used CSE form on CIC website, you will.

Dont be too worried, hang in there you will get a second line soon, we both have similar dates,
I applied 19-10-2011, got PER 11-1-2012, just got second line this week which stated

"we started processing your application on june 15 2012",
hopfully you will see yours this week also.

Thanks Possie. I am dying to see my MR. I got second line in my ecas (We started processing................. June 7 2012).
I am also here in the UK. My work experience also obtained from the UK. So it should not take so long for VO for BGCs if needed. Please pray for me.......... Take care.

I have read in a few places that with LVO once they request your passport you can go in person and then collect it yourself a couple of days later.

Is this true and can anyone send me a link with more info on this at all?

Hi you can do this, when they request your passport or copies of your passport if it is a uk passport you can leave them in and get a receipt, you can then collect them again and it is faster. Not sure how long it takes, I heard of someone getting them within 4 days but the letter states about two weeks for this. Unfortunately I live in Scotland so it is a bit far for me to go!! Is it ok if i dont send my spouse's past work exp letters along with my application. We cant find them but we do have the reference letter from present employer.
