Enfield is correct. Your consultant is lying.

1. Your consultant lies.
2. Read Enfields reply, only Co-op programs.
3. Read CIC which schools qualify for Off-Campus work permits. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/study/institutions/participants.asp
4. Now who do believe? CIC or your "consultant" All s/he wants is a cut of the money from the school s/he directs you to.

They haven't been sent home because they haven't been caught. If someone was caught - their study visa would be canceled and they would have to leave the country. If they didn't leave the country voluntarily - this would eventually turn into a deportation order.

In addition to have their study visa canceled, anyone caught working on a student visa should forget about ever being approved for a study visa in Canada every again (or a visit visa for that matter).

Hi,

Just to add something more;

Really doesn't matter if it's Canada or Australia.

Once again...

The information on the LSBF and Stouffville College web sites refers to the CO-OP WORK PERMIT - not the off campus work permit. You do not qualify for an off campus work permit if you attend these schools.

The requirements for the Co-op Work Permit are here:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/study/work-coop.asp
