If I were you I would send the email, email address and or name if they post their whole name, to immigration.
Make them aware that someone is into scamming for immigration.

Honeybird, did they send that to you through the email on this website?

Hahaha Honeybird! OMG that is rich!

The amount of b*lls that people have never ceases to amaze me. Thanks for sharing. We all need a giggle going through this process.

no not here, but i have no idea how they got hold of my address.

Ah the joys of random spam. I got/get those a lot even before I met my hubby who I'm now sponsoring. I also got/get a lot of the "Your Uncle in ____ died and left you 8 million...". It doesn't mean anything...it's just annoying. :P

This person is scamming for citizenship? Sounds to me this is more like something where she (or he because you don't actually know who is behind the email address) will send you fake pictures, give you a fake story, build up your trust and then try to get you to send them money. Of course it is also possible that it is a citizenship or PR scam. Who knows.

The other day, some lady wanted me to add her on yahoo messenger. I thought it possible that it is somebody I already know so I added her. It turned out that she only wanted to tell me that she was sitting naked waiting for me on her webcam. I didn't check the site, I assume it was a pay site or it would definately lead to that later :)

honey bird ...bnahabahabahabah...

Its sooo funny I KNOW JOY ....sHe emailed me and my freind we messed with them for months there scammers...But not IMM scammer its one of those scam from nigeria ...for you to send you bank account info, and also to inherit money that they cannot access...LOL

WOW they are really getting around arent they ...Pretty sad!! I told them at the end i was reporting them to the police ....oh sooo funny

I used to receive those emails all the time from men in Ghana or Nigeria. (Some would even attach their pictures)!!!!!!!!!!

The love letters would be sooooooooooooooooo long & dreary.

I found it funny & never did respond. ;D

I get probably about 2 to 3 similar emails every week. For a little while I was getting them almost every day on MySpace, but I think that MySpace finally got a lot of those shut down.

The ones I get are always from women, who wouldn't have a chance with me anyway even if I were available (and especially gullible), because I'm gay. LOL. Sometimes they can be funny. I saved an expecially funny one a couple of months ago but I can't find it now. Maybe I deleted it.

It seem that the first goal of most of these scammers is to get to to add them on an instant messenger program. Beyond that, they probably want money, though I expect there could be some wanting to emigrate too.

hi honey bird i have been receiving the same email the with her picture but um not a guy i was mad i just told her what if iam a killer?she never send them back

I have miss mery.. ???

my thing is where there are getting my email address from.
i might consider messing with these people...maybe say i have reported the email to the police..and see what happens! ;)

It's hard to say where they are getting your email address from. The most likely place is if it appears on any webpage anywhere as a link or plain text, they will find it eventually. The other main place is if you gave your email to anyone on the web an they sold their list to someone. It does happen, so you have to be careful.

Even if neither of these things happened, sometimes they will just guess at your address. If they get any response from you at all, they know that it's a real address that someone out there is reading and that may cause them to resell it again now that they know it is legitimate. For that reason, it may be a bad idea to respond. I doubt they'll care about your threat to report them to the police anyway.
