Hi guys! I'm back from the land of nowhere!!! Two very good things:

1. I have my passport request! It came in through email eight hours ago and I've been almost hyperventilating for almost two hours now. Like, wow!!!

2. Some of you may know or remember that I kinda sorta left the forum to take care of my dad who has liver cancer. Well, This month's ultrasound was super positive! from 10.5 cm to 7.5cm!! Almost 30% shrinkage I feel so blessed.

Enough of my overuse of exclamation points. I'm just too happy I could cry. Super ace evening. Best ever

3. I found an Amazon gift code in my gmail wasteland from 2010 that still works! Save a few dollars? Sure, sign me up!

I was just thinking about this thread and how much I miss the banter between you all. My husband (US) and I are finally (well almost) ready to send off our application. We are driving up to Canada the end of the month for him to have his medical...much cheaper than in the US. Just waiting on FBI prints, a few final touches and we should be good to go.

Hi Guys,

My friend wants to apply for Canadian Immigration under Federal Skilled Worker class. He has some issues regarding his name. On his passport his first and last name are written under GIVEN NAME. While there is nothing under LAST name.

He is living in Saudi Arabia, and his bank account's name is his name + his father name. Is it a problem too during immigration process?

Other than passport, on all documents his name is correct. Would his application be rejected due to this?

What you guys suggest in his case.

All replies would be appreciated.
