Oh I'm still very much rolling. I got up momentarily just to get some orange juice, then decided I wasn't ready to give up the cozy confines of my bed this early in the day.

Wow hectic schedule. ???

Good Afternoon,

I have a few questions, I have sent in the letter to immigration, have heard nothing back. Tried to contact immigration and can't get through. Next, when I look on-line, I see application received, nothing else. My concern is how would I know if my so called husband gets his PR card. Do I have to sign anything, how do you know? I have become a little stressed about this. Can someone please explain!

Thank you,

Hey Koukla! I wouldn't worry too much. As long as you submitted the letter indicating all pertinent info, ID, etc., they would have received it. Another option is to send them a case specific inquiry directly to the Kingston office following this link:

Everything will work out fine.

I don't know all the answers to your questions, but I do know the Call Centre is hard to get a hold of. I sometimes have to call a dozen times to get through. Also, make sure you're using an actual phone and not Skype or another computer based calling program. They don't mesh well together.

Generally, that status means they have received your file, but haven't begun to process it yet. Did you include your UDI or Client ID # with the letter?

Also, if you have any proof of separation (separation agreement, restraining order, new lease in your name only) I would provide copies to Immigration as well so they know you're serious. Hell, if it was me, I'd have a book of evidence!

You may want to post in the Spouse Sponsorship thread stickied to the top of the Family Class section of the forum or make a new thread and call out for help from senior members. It can't hurt to ask around. The more knowledge you get, the better. :)

I might cry in jealousy.

Okay I'm soooooooooooo in love with Calgary Bylaw Services right now. I filed a complaint last month about my neighbors NOT shoveling their sidewalks after snowfall. I've slipped, tripped, and fallen once because of these lazy bums. Bylaw came by yesterday and issued warnings to everyone within five blocks of my house! Thank you Bylaw Services!!!!

My upstairs neighbor that can't figure out the no smoking inside a non-smoking residence is one of the worst offenders at not cleaning the sidewalk. I hope they nail him. It's his responsibility only - as the basement unit we have no yard maintaince. We shoveled every other snowfall last year, but this year, we decided we're done cleaning up that jerk's mess.

Thank you,

I was using a land line to call. I put in the letter client ID and all info that I know to be true. But to be honest now I don't know what is true anymore. It is great what the internet can provide for you today when you do a search! Photo's of the two of them show up, it is hard because I believed in what he kept telling me. Even now, I ask questions and he tells me I am crazy! I have kept all findings and documented everything. Till this day, I can't believe I have been a victim of Marriage Fraud!

Put this jerk in his place!!! And yay for something going right with by-law services!!!

I think those are those things that you try to find when you are trying to impressing someone like at a beach or "while knitting" an forget about the rest of the time! Though sounds like Halfmoon is determined to find hers!
