We been married 8 months now, and the first 5 months were so hard on both of us. Sometimes I wondered if our marriage would survive but we had to put lots and lots and lots of work on it. Things are starting to pay off now, things are starting to be clearer. The sponsoship aproval also gave us hope.

If you can survive the first 2 years of marriage, you're in the clear. It's the adjustment period. I thought I was in the twilight zone at times. But definitely have to say, we appreciate each other more. It's all about growing and learning and adjusting.

This distance has taught us to actually communicate. I've been through a divorce already :-\ I know where I failed now

2 glorious weeks! I fly back to Canada the day after you arrive in JA. :'(

Me too! I'm in a bad rut and being able to yak about stuff related to sponsorship or not related at all is really great. I go to work, come home, Skype, sleep, repeat... Going to the bank is a challenge. None of my friends have been in this situation and i'm the first married. I don't think my husband would react the same way as peeps here if I said I hung up on him sometimes lol.

On a separate note, we got married in August and no question drives me crazier than "how's married life?" from people who know the situation!!
