We should just move near each other, buy property backing each other and build a woodshop in the backyard. :P Hubby's biggest compliant is he wants a workshop now.

My hubby and I both have issues with the money vampire leech ex. We literally started over from scratch when we got together. Not even a couch or table between us. I had some kitchen towels. He had a computer desk. Woohoo? Haha, he didn't even have a BED before I got here!

:o we have so many things in common. very similar story here :-X
I have some things I was able to save from my divorce though, like a dresser hahaha which I'm getting rid of it anyway. Then my car. I bought things on my own after my divorce. Most of it junk.
But, my husband and I just bought a bed a few months ago. We were sleeping on a pitiful piece of foam (I guess you call that a matress). We also bought a couple of couches. Besides that... :-X
He's been waiting for me to move in to decorate and get curtains and things like that.

If thats the case.. Can I get the property across the street? I think I wanna be around for the gourmet delights.. but got a feeling Mr. M is not meant to work in a woodshed!!

You think "Coffee Social" would be a cute new subdivision?

If the guy knows what he's doing and does it right, it does work. But you have to be perfect with it.

There's no sperm in precum. That's a myth science has disproven.

I bet most of those couples that use pull out and fail were impaired (drunk), inexperienced (doesn't know his body well enough to know when to withdraw), or wanting a baby and lied about it.

I love my husband, but he doesn't have the self-control for this.

Hahaha.. I think that is perfect.. except it needs to be a very distant subdivision so we can all have our yards, toys and shops!

MY BAD Y'ALL ARE TALKING ABOUT SOMETHING ELSE :-X

The Mr and I are at opposites when it comes to finances. He will save on day to day stuff and I'm like "but I love food" and then he drops $400 on some technology

But I love food :( I spend a lot of money on food and snacks and desserts yom yom yom

He's the one with the money-draining ex, so that explains a lot.

Based on my personal experiences, I wouldn't recommend it for a long term solution. I was never able to relax. It wasn't exactly romantic. Unfortunately, at the time, I couldn't afford the IUD ($800, no insurance coverage with my healthplan). But that ex-husband was also too interested in buying himself crap than ever making sure I was happy or comfortable.

Not.your bad at all... Its funny these days Im the one debating what to spend money on while Mr. m is like I want I want I want... Not easy when i think all extra finances should go to saving for his upcoming ticket and our next visit. I for one will be happy when our one financial stress of living apart is over, then we can share the extra funds!!

I plan to keep things separate. Just easier that way. Hubby doesn't have a clue about long term savings and I like saving. So he can blow his money on games, techno crap, while I have my savings account.

Change can be hard. We went through a painful process to stop buying unnnecessary things. Games are expensive and online games make it so people get so addicted to them. But I'll be in charge of the finances soon :D I don't know if we are going to keep our accounts separate yet. To my fellow American friends...does it matter for taxing purposes? I know we'll be dealing with the IRS for life

You'll have to report any accounts(or investments) that you both can sign on. It usually doesnt matter too much unless you have a whole lot of money.

You have a good point in this one.. unfortunately for us, things will be together until Mr. M is here making his millions and keeping me happy!

I have money draining education loans haha. Tony hadn't had a girlfriend in...5-6 years before me. He was waiting for me :D I had a jerk of an ex (jerk is the nice, no cussing way to describe him) and I had a crush on Tony the entire time I was with dinkface. 8 months after dinkface dumped me, I asked Tony out :D
